The Adventurer

I just found out, by way of Peter Larid's Blog, that Stan Sakai (creator of Usagi Yojimbo) is having difficulty paying for the care of his ailing wife. The Cartoon Art Professional Society (CAPS) is organizing a fund raiser to help, asking for direct cash donations via Paypal and original artwork for auction (of which 100% of the proceeds will go directly to Stan and Sharon Sakai)

I figured I'd pass this on since I'm unsure if I will be able to contribute myself.

25+ years of Usagi Yojimbo to be grateful for.

Monies happily sent.

I love Groo comics.

Um, Groo is created by Sergio Aragonés. Though I do believe Sakai letters all Groo comics.

Yes, I know. I just have Groo comics on my mind because I bought a bundle last week.

If you like Stan Sakai comics, keep an eye out for The Adventures of Nilson Groundthumper and Hermy collection from Dark Horse next March it is a anthropomorphic series Stan Sakai had out before Usagi Yojimbo.
