3: RaggedMan – Great fun.

RaggedMan

Wow. Cheers for votes and HMs. Really glad you enjoyed it.

Embarrassment of riches this month and my first attempt at short list was a loooong list.

1. Bob Molesworth - Headache Tharg
This would rule the newsagent. As someone else said reminds me of the experimental Gilbert and George, Op-Art covers of the early 90's. But NOW!

2. Allistermac - Tharg vs Death
I'm a sucker for a bit of a meta and i love the inking

3. Antodonnell - Big Job
Like the 'pause' after droid destruction but before the final crush

HM Archie, Uncle Fester, Hoagy

Really difficult to choose

IAMTHESYSTEM

2: deadman 1971- Tharg vs Thrill suckers

3:Uncle Fester- Cosmic Tharg

Raggedman

Top notch stuff chaps!
An old-school, no-bullshit, boys-own action/adventure comic reminiscent of the 2000ads and Eagles and Warlords and Battles and other glorious black-and-white comics that were so, so cool in the 70's and 80's - Buy the hardback Christmas Annual!

SKD

A great artistic start to the year, with far too much talent hidden away on the forum.

1. antodonnell.
2. Darren Stephens.
3. Archie.

HM.
Uncle Fester. RaggedMan. Ross Bam. Dark Jimbo. allistermac.

Tough to call, as all entries were superb.

3rd - Deadman 1971 - Great image, lots of fun naming all the thrills and a clever design
2nd - Bob Molesworth - Background distracts from a good solid drawing...but thats the point! ;)
1st - Uncle Fester - As soon as I saw this I knew i wasnt going to win....again but its the talking part (and practise) that counts! Well done that man!

As per usual, some classic artwork this month. Here's the Stephens household faves and H.Ms....

1: Bob Moleswoeth. Ironically, I have a headache as I type this. Nothing to do with this fantastic pic.....I hope. :-P

2: Uncle Fester. Stunning drawing.

3: Dead man 1971. Saw this on Facebook, initially and was blown away. Great work, sir.

HMs : Archie,  SKD, Bolt and Albion. But I sincerely love all the entries. Top work all and as ever, kudos to Mr Watts. :-)

GGGNNNNNNNGGGNNNNNN!!!!!

TOO...HARD.... TO PICK.....!!!

Seriously guys, I know it's the type of cliched thing you hear all the time, but everyone did a brilliant job with so many varied and imaginative ideas.

FIRST:  ARCHIE - FLINTISH THARG.  An excellent piece that really stood out for me because it's so damned different in style! He has an oh so subtle alien quality about him, and I loved the future design details in the background.

SECOND: UNCLE FESTER - COSMIC THARG.  More of an old school style here. This is how I picture the boss when he's waiting on my pages to come. Fantastic detailed background!

Really struggled with what to pick for third place. It was either Antdonnel- Big Jobs, Dedaman 1971 - Tharg vs Thrillsuckers , SKD - Tharg's Thrills.... but in the end I picked....

THIRD: BOB MOLESWORTH - HEADACHE THARG. A very "Jon Davis Hunt" piece I think, especially in the colouring. He looks like the commanding figure you'd expect as head of the Galaxy's Greatest Comic. And props for that impressive, hypnotic background!

Well done everyone!
