AND, when I am doing some kind of DIY or repair or shelf-building, how come she always comes into the room just at the very moment it all goes to shite?

Yes. Very yes.

It is not yet finished. Critique it later. For now, fuck the fuck off.
Speaking if which when are you taking over the man cave thread, Trouty? Im seriously depleted from a lack of eye candy here.

On hiatus for now, I'm afraid.

Only one interruption this week. Best for a while.

Maybe she read this thread....

Devons Daddy

I gave up the man cave, with the increase in the family size.

BUT!!
I now read it whilst upon my inflatable arm chair in the swimming pool
its perfect, floating around on a saturday afternoon with the prog on my lap is amongst lifes great pleasures.

(maybe that statement belongs in the lives drokkin fantastic thread) wife has never interrupted my prog reading,

I AM VERY BUSY!
PJ Maybe and I use the same dictionary, live with it.

NO 2000ad no life!

Which of course sets my mind racing. Devons Daddy could you be the first person to set up an aquatic man-cave in your pool?

Of course comics and paper don't traditionally get on but were there's a will there's a way!

Devons Daddy

sadly the pool is communal,
part of the facilities.
so no opportunity of the atlantis style abode.
it was worthy of consideration though.

I haven't had peace 7 quiet to read for decades...

not since I contracted tinnitus. I miss silence.... and sometime the noise can drive me mad.....

COMMANDO FORCES

Normally read Dredd in the comic shop but due to buying so many titles now, I sometimes wait till I get home and read it in silence in the dining room. Then I take them all to work and read them there!

Colin Zeal

Normally read mine on the bus home from work as I don't get enough time during the day if I buy it during my lunch break. Until December I had a nice early finish on a Wednesday and my walk home took me past a newsagent that sold the prog. I would then read it at home with a cup of tea and a sandwich then.

jackstarr

Get too distracted to focus on the prog during the daytime.

At night, Mrs jackstarr likes having the telly on in the background in order to sleep, which means I have to wait until she's well and truly asleep before turning it off and opening the prog (sometimes the mere act of turning off the telly is enough to wake her).

As a result, it's normally creeping into the early hours before I get to read - so I usually manage to make the prog last the week - one strip a night...

Spikes

Of late I've been reading mine at work.

When im not busy that is. Certainly not tossing it off in the van for half an hour..

hippynumber1

You're doing what in the van now?!  :o

I saw a documentary of it years back. Is it a continual thing for you or does it come and go? I cannot begin to imagine the annoyance an ailment like this can give.
