Took delivery of new sofas yesterday so I will be carving up the old ones and running back and forth to the tip with them. This will be interspersed with short periods of shouting at the kids to stop climbing all over the new sofas. Rock and Roll!

House hunting-something smaller freeing funds for a sub.

Having spent the entire week partially submerged, slathered in silt* and perpetually soaked through, I will be endeavouring to stay dry for the next two days.  Literally if not metaphorically.

*Although happy as the proverbial pig to be so, it must be said.

Ditto. Site was absolutely atrocious yesterday - as I say, I'm very very very very grateful for the work and I love the discipline to pieces but when it's torrential rain and you're trying to "clean" sticky clay you do long to be behind a desk for a few minutes! The feeling passes though, and as miserable as it was yesterday I'm raring to get back in there on Monday.

As for the weekend - I'm spending it mired in hangover country apparently after a party last night. *shudder*

sitting on the loo with the sqits :'(
don't get into an argument with an idiot,he'll drag you down to his level then win with experience.

Weekend started badly with a funeral yesterday, an elderly uncle passed on Tuesday. Hoping things turn around, will be heading to a film shortly, then dinner with the missus.

The title of this thread simply reminds me of the slightly annoying cBeebies tune that I seem to see every weekend (and this one) while we all have a break as my son sleeps. Hope the rain holds off as we're off to the park.

Albion

Well, I managed to avoid helping out around the Fontana household and ended up looking after Mrs Albion's grandsons instead while everyone else did the work. So I had a lesson in how to play Minecraft from the eldest and then played Scooby Doo on the Wii with the youngest.
Result.
Dumb all over, a little ugly on the side.

Wayne Fontana:
"He later appeared at Derby Crown Court dressed as Lady Justice, complete with a sword, scales, crown, cape and dark glasses, and claiming "justice is blind"."

Wow.

Anyway, my weekend continues with a moment of mixed emotions. A very cool man I'm writing a story about unexpectedly called me from Hollywood (really) and I was distracted from the black pudding I was frying, causing it to become slightly burned.

More on this as we get it.

Apparently he's quite a character.
Members of our family are going to be living in the same house as him. It's not actually his house. He his also away a lot as he still tours doing 60's shows etc.....
I haven't met him yet but I'm sure our paths will cross at some point.

Well boys and girls. Once again another week is over. And that can only mean one thing. THE WEEKEND! Which for most of us means no work! How will you be enjoying yours? I'm kicking mine off with watching Withnail And I. As for the rest, probably looking through 100s of house plans. Hopefully yours will be a bit more exciting. So lets hear about it!

I, Cosh

Well you're a day ahead of us Old World types. As it happens though, I'm currently on a train to Davos for the World Economic Forum. Oops, I mean three days of snowboarding and drinking.
We never really die.

COMMANDO FORCES

Just finished work and have a hectic weekend ahead.
For starters it's my birthday today, meal out tonight after numerous other things planned for me.
England rugby tomorrow after a day out, which will be in the rain
Then to top it all off, it's Sam's birthday on Sunday and we have a meal out planned for that, amongst a few other things.
I'm gonna be shattered!
