Unfortunatly I have fallen way behind with the Prog in the last year or two, and cannot currently keep up with it. One of the strips I was most upset about missing out on was Brass Sun, as I really loved the first story and wanted to read more. So this could be a great way for me to keep up with Brass Sun, if they plan to do these stand alones for as long as the series runs.

Just ordered #1 from Disposable Heroes. They had three copies listed, and I got the last one. Can't find preorders available with any of the other usual comic shops yet. Looking forward to this!

Quality production values, similar to that of Dredd: Underbelly, and worth picking up even if you've already read it in the Prog!

My copy arrived today. My first reading of Brass Sun and IMO the best art Culbard has produced (I have read Deadwardians, one of the Holmes adaptations and Deadbeats). High production levels as mentioned above are appreciated as well.

Really love Brass Sun, but very much doubt I'll be picking this up seeing as I've read the first two series in the Prog already.

Looks very tempting though.....hope it does well.

Oh, and I'm wondering when we'll get to see the 3rd (and I presume final) series over here? I don't want US readers to read the ending before we do!

Mentioned in this weeks Prog 1884 (1887 I think) as on its way. I took the implication that it was due in the next launch Prog, though that might be me reading too much into what was said.

Hope its not the last of the series and see no reason for it too be. If Rebellion are releasing a mini of the first too series think we can expect more to come after the third? I reckon this one could run and run, particularly if the US release does okay?

Well it could be. I think I.N.J Culbard said to me via Twitter that the 3rd series might be the final (I'll have to go and check up on that to see if it's correct, if it's not then apologies - I've a crap memory).

Also because the mini series is limited to 6 issues, I was under the impression that it would be the whole story. But then again you could be right Colin; see how these 6 issues do, then do another series thereafter.

I got around to reading this just now, as when I came in last night I was a wee bit too pissed to make sense of it. Strangely I had no such issues with Aquaman #31, but then that did involve Swamp Thing and Aquaman hitting each other a lot.

Anyway- I loved Brass Sun in the prog, and its been done a great service here. The comic is beautiful- from the paper stock, to the design, to the cover, all is glorious. It's a handsome floppy and no mistake. Yes, I do think the actual pages lose a little in the scaling down for the American format, but not nearly so much as, say, IDW's Judge Dredd Classics.

Reading this much of Brass Sun was a pleasure- the story had a chance to breathe and really get going, and while of course I've seen it all before in the pages of the weekly, this felt like a whole new experience.

Sign me up for #2 immediately. I'd love to preorder, but this was in itself so difficult to track down, I had no opportunity to order #1 til a couple of days before release. It really is gorgeous though.

Woah there! Obviously things could have changed but I had the impression that Brass Sun was very much intended as an ongoing story to replace the likes of Red Seas and Dante. Then again, I also seem to remember something about alternating artists (with D'israeli, maybe) and that hasn't happened yet.

As to the contents of this series: the first two stories are 130 pages worth of material, which is a fairly perfect fit for six US issues.

Either way, I'm hoping it's got a good long time still to run.

Same here, I've a really soft spot for the series.
