From February's winner Jon Taylor:

Quote I was thinking the themes always tend to be very character-centric, so maybe something more about the worlds... your take on MC 1 or Mazeworld or Xanadu or Downlode...

YOU HEARD THE MAN. Flex those landscape muscles - what twothy location is particularly evocative to you? Cityscapes, landscapes, I'll even accept just buildings or monuments - just make sure the location is the star!

- Remember there are PRIZES TO BE WON - one for the winner, one for Tharg's Choice - ! All entries will be featured on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/2000adartcomp) where they are admired and liked by our 295 followers :D There will also be a bonafide 2000ad droid judging their favourite entry for Droid's Choice... we've previously had Chris Weston, Steve Yeowell, Brian Bolland, Leigh Gallagher and John Higgins. Who KNOWS who we'll snag next?!

Rules are these:

- You can enter as many times as you like but bear in mind it will split your vote so it may not be worth it!
- All entries have to be specifically for this competition - so no pictures you've done for anything else.

YOU HAVE UNTIL THE 30th OF MARCH WHEN WE WILL RIDE THE VOTING SWAN

For inspiration look no further than regular contributor, speed-painter extraordinaire and February's Tharg's Choice Pictsy whose "2000ad wallpaper project" is a goldmine for 2000ad landscapes:

For more check out her DevArt page. NO PRESSURE PICTSY ;)

The image is a bit squeezed on the forum format so here's link to a clearer view for the curious.

That is lovely Archie. If 'lovely' is the right word for Deadworld.
I don't think I've ever drawn a landscape before. I've been staring at Ernst 'Europe After the Rain part II' for inspiration. Not the same at all but there's a similarity in the abstraction of your approach. love the balance of the bones and windows, land and clouds.

Hey thanks very much Ragged, nice of you to take the time to comment. I've never seen that Ernst picture before but I can see what you mean. Don't know if you've a FB account but if you do PM me your name and I'll let you into the process over there.
