SKD's wonderful forest landscape has inspired me to post one of my own, ' If you go down to the woods today.'

That's a nice old school style, nice piece

Lets try this again!! Hopefully you can see my entry the Undercity.

Like this a lot, works really well  :)
Eerie yet balanced and clean...

Kudos to everyone who either cheered at the 'landscape' brief or took to the challenge!

Jon

Here's my second*, guilt-driven offering because Owen works so hard for all of us - well, probably - and I was mean.

In honour of the mighty Carlos here is a thing about the place where the judges live.

*Subject to tantrums and hissy fits.

You have 'til midnight GMT on Sunday 30th - so that's... like 4 pm on the west coast if you're there!

Yeah, I've reinstated the first one, just for the hell of it. Still don't like it, but meh.

It just coincided with some things I was looking to try anyway. I say coincided - a cynical observer would note that I did pick the theme....

Good month though, I think; seeing some really strong and different pieces.

Your own piece (to pick one at random :)) is very haunting. Like a stark de Chirico. I like the almost aquatint effect ceiling too.

I honestly hope, as much as I'd love to see a sequel or two, that we never make it to Dredd 17...

My original idea was to do a landscape around Filmore Faro's trash mine, tomb and pyramids form the Judge Child story but the joke idea of my Shako piece came to me and I never got started on it.

Maybe I will have a go for my own amusement sometime.
Dumb all over, a little ugly on the side.

Shit a fuckin golden egg Jon that Hall of Justice is unbelievabal!

Well I scrapped mine and im starting again. Left it at the sketch stage to long. Ah, procrastination.

Nah. I'm keeping it out Jon - stick with your first decision - or second one. What if you change your mind again, eh? ;)

Two entries splits yer vote anyway.

Jon

Fair enough.

I still reserve the right to change my mind.

RaggedMan

That Hall of Justice is stunning.

Really struggled with this one, did 3 landscape roughs that just didn't work. Picture only started to make sense to me when i put a POV character in.
Also, I wanted colours to be feverish sickness but think it's ended up looking like candy fairground.
Ah well...

and Photobucket seems to be losing, what i shall refer to as, 'quality', are there any better hosting sites? or some trick I should be using to maintain it?

Ooh. That's a very weird organic take on the Meg. I like that a lot.
