Aaaah, the sweets of youth. Wrapped up in the memories of Action, Battle and Warlord is the obligatory trip to the sweetshop on the way to school for "a quarter of..." in a little white paper bag. Mine were always "Army & Navys" - slabs of dark grey concrete that took ages to dissolve and turned your tongue black for a week.

Texan bars always did it for me. It's a shame they don't do them anymore, well not in the UK anyway.

no they dont.
i have travelled far and wide and often used the advertisement line.
HOLD ON THERE BALD EAGLE.
to service staff.more often then not getting a blank stare of totally not understanding.
never seen them anywhere since there sad demise in the early eighties.

Being 8 months pregnant I at the moment the only solice I find these days in candy is eating copious amounts of Skittles.
I also have a slow metabolism and an e number intolerance. Put all these things together and you have one very big,hyperactive, flatulant hurricane. Yay!

Crisp-wise I'm really boring these days and tend to only eat Walkers ready salted. When I first started getting 2000ad and the Eagle, I was addicted to KP Griddles. They had a highwayman on the packet and I've still got the Griddles box that I started putting my Eagles in way back in '82. After they stopped making them, I found solace in pickled onion Monster Munch (which was an excellent thing to cover up the smell of fags and not half as obvious as mints), but they've changed them now and they aren't half as potent. The closest thing to how they were are pickled onion Space Raiders, but it's just note the same.

As I'm carrying on my fathers 2000ad legacy (he wanted to call me Cass after Judge Anderson) and having been taught to read through daddy sitting me on his knee every Sat when the mag was delivered and reading it to me page at a tome ...with the funny voices,(although I don't think my nursery teachers were too pleased when I greeted them with Borag Thung for the first time) I think these would be the only true course of action. What do you think of Quinch for a girl?
