The guys at ECBT2000AD

Are their martyr complexes now so fully-fledged that they can't even bring themselves to sully their keyboards by posting to the forum themselves?

Cheers

A few questions here.

1. IDW have done some sketch covers for their Dredd - do they think that might work over here?

2. Do wraparound covers come about more as a suggestion from the artist, or from Rebellion.

3. A similar question for character one sheets, or story covers by the same artist - e.g. ABC Warriors and Brass Sun, seemed to have a themed run of covers - did that come from the artists, or Rebellion, and was it done with the trades in mind?

4. Variant covers have been done in the past - do they sell enough to be worthwhile?

I've wondered whether variant wraparound covers which make a bigger whole (but also work standalone) could look quite cool - although the same could be done with consecutive progs or a prog/megazine combination.

Oh DO fuck off Jim.  Just because I find these forums annoying and not worth the grief due to the online personas of a handful of people, yourself obviously included, I didnt think that should exclude other forum members from getting questions as the times I've spoken to Keith seem to be appreciated. Pete volunteered as an active member, job done.

Of course if you'd rather us not bother fine. I could do without taking the day off work to record this to be honest

cheers.

So, that's a "yes", then. Just wondering.

FWIW, I don't recall ever giving you grief, here or anywhere else but feel free to make something up and put it on your podcast. If you'd like to point to an example where you think I've been harsh and/or unfair, I'll happily apologise. If you can't, I'd like you to retract the accusation.

After the furor surrounding Heavily Armoured Special Cop, can any information be revealed about the rumoured, new, official Judge Dredd figure?

And for Pye Parr - what is your Pie par? mine is two bites, but it was quite a small pie.

Jeez, wanna borrow my cross?

I dont feel persecuted and especially not threatened by you or anyone, I just can't be arsed with it. Some people seem to enjoy arguing online, I dont.

As for accusations I said I found your online persona annoying. Thats a statement. I do.

which is why I REALLY shouldnt have bothered replying

bluemeanie

Sorry, thread drift.

I'll go delete my account now so I cant be tempted to bite next time.

You said people — including me — gave you grief. Back that up or retract it, Rich.

I'll look forward to some bullshit on your podcast about how you were hounded off here. God forbid you (or Flint, for that matter) actually back up an accusation of people behaving badly towards you.

Damn, dont think I can delete my account. Can I get banned? Um.... THARG IS A WUSS! HALO JONES IS BORING! DREDD HAS A PERM! SCOJO WAS RIGHT!

And I said its "not worth the grief due to the online personas of a handful of people".

Because I find some people so annoying that it bugs the shit out of me because, as you know, I'm a twitchy, angry fucker. Hence grief. Nobody has come at me directly but not posting ranty replies to stuff was giving me ulcers. This is why I dont do forums and deleted half my facebook contacts...as you'd know... but you deleted me first   :D

I feel much the same: that's what the ignore feature is for. It's done wonders for my blood pressure.

Maybe posting just to derail a thread wasn't the best thing to do then?

It was just a sarcastic observation — I wasn't expecting a reply within a couple of hours from someone who (apparently) can't be bothered coming here any more.

Will we be getting an omnibus trade of Insurrection, or a volume 2?

And

Could we have more extra features in the trades? Sketches, character designs, or an introduction placing the content in context? Like the Lauren Beukes piece in Halo Jones. Or are there cost margin issues which prevent this?

TordelBack

Could we get Jim on the next podcast, please?  I'd pay non-consecutive euros to hear that one.

In the meantime:

@Pye: It's interesting that the Prog is all colour at the moment, which seems unusual these days, when there have been up to 3 B&W strips at a time in recent years (which I'm all for).  Is consideration given to the balance of art styles and colour within a a given prog, or is at all about scheduling compatible thrills rather creating an overall look for the comic?
