Maybe posting just to derail a thread wasn't the best thing to do then?

It was just a sarcastic observation — I wasn't expecting a reply within a couple of hours from someone who (apparently) can't be bothered coming here any more.

Cheers

Jim

Y'know, if I'd written your first comment and then realized I'd insulted someone with it, I'd at least have the courtesy to admit it was barbed and snarky and then maybe, just maybe even apologize. Maybe even just because it has no place in a thread trying to gather questions for organizing a podcast by someone who goes to a lot more trouble than yourself to simply celebrate 2000AD. But hey, that's just me.

I'm happy to let the derail drop, with apologies to Pete for shitting up his thread. I will just say that I am, and always have been a cheerleader for this comic, and the efforts I make to support the UK comic scene are considerable if not always as high profile as running a podcast. Perhaps I ought to make more noise about those efforts, but I don't see the point.

Two questions:

Has there been any progress on the possibility of a Dan Dare collection

Can we PLEASE have a MACH 1 collection?

Spikes

...And a 100% complete reprint of the Cursed Earth? (Somebody, on another thread, mentioned something about the laws changing. Or something...)

I can't believe that someone would derail such a fab thread, just so they can show how nice they are to other people!

James Stacey

With the new ABC hardbacks with coloured DPS included, is there any chance of Dredd Casefiles happening in the same format ?

That's helpful.

Pye - We just think you decide what colour the logo's going to be that week and how much of it you're going to cover up with Dredd's helmet. Can you explain what role an art editor plays in compositing the interior art pages of the comic, please.

Doug Church cropped panels, changed angles, and added dynamic lines to improve dull, workmanlike pages. Have you ever been tempted (or asked) to do that kind of panel beating work to a strip, or is it all just fiddling about with the hue and saturation levels to make sure Nick Percival's art doesn't print too dark?

love that film! to derail the thread further ;)
don't get into an argument with an idiot,he'll drag you down to his level then win with experience.

...oh,and are we ever going to see the metro dredds in print what with the daily stars being dug up? I would love a few trades with some of the "one shots" dredd has produced since the rebellion days began.

...and why has it taken so long to get return to Armageddon sorted? :D

Flesh Book I: All recent reprints (Meg, Dinosaur-Files etc) are taken using the 'adjusted' artwork from the 2000ad Annual reprints. Is there any chance a future reprint could use scans from the original Progs of those pages? Would be of any lower quality than some of the greyscale versions of colour pages?

Spaceghost

Yeah, that's a good one Mogzilla. I've been thinking that a collection of contemporary Dredd one and two parters would be great for a while now.

Any chance of that?

Old Tankie

Do artists and writers, who have already been paid when they did their work for the Prog or the Meg, get anything extra when the stories are put into a book?

skurvy

When is Pye going to be drawing a strip again and who writes damage report?
