Slagged off their Justice Department tshirt as being dull and unoriginal, happy enough to say this gets a purchase for being exactly the opposite.

Wow, really?  My Justice Dept tee and hoodie are the pride of my clothing collection at the mo.  I agree though that this latest is awesome, and will definitely be buying it.

No real need to rehash it but for a company with a name for their 'designs' slapping the badge out there seemed pretty dull dog to me. That said it does look nice on the baseball cap.
If I'd known it was harmless I would have killed it myself.

I'm going to be in the minority here and say this one feels pretty dull...like a shirt you wear so that one day someone will recognize the reference (probably much more likely where you guys live)

I dunno, I guess I feel like since they have official licensing they could really really push the design to be more like creative tees you'd see on threadless or other tee sites

That being said, thank you for making it in a soft, fitted ladies tee!! I'll probably end up getting it for that reason alone  :-\

I think the Dredd movie is a bit sparse with regards to memorable graphics, the subjecty matter that Last Exit to Nowhere tend to specialise in.

The non-Justice Department graphics are pretty utilitarian - the only other one I can think of is the Umpty Candy graphic, but that's probably too obscure.

I can't remember if Resyk had a graphic in the film, that would have been cool.

I see LATN have used the self-destruct warning from the computer on the Nostromo.  Maybe it could do something with the block schematics Dredd was looking through?

Steve Green

There are bits and bobs - they do the graphics from Escape from New York, the X-Wing Targetting Computer, as well as signage.

It's likely a question of how niche you go with something like Dredd, considering the first t-shirt was a broad appeal one.

With Star Wars and Alien, it's obviously a much bigger franchise to play with.

There's also the matter of sourcing the original graphics used in that sequence.

It's a skull encircled by recycling arrows:

Wow, well spotted Joe! I did not notice that in any of the 20+ times I watched the film!!!

That's just what men's t-shirts look like in Europe. My brother says any time he comes back to the UK the first thing that hits him is how tight everyone's clothes are, then how tiny the vehicles and roads feel.

This goes back to what Steve was saying.  There were some things tucked away in the background but your average person would not have noticed them.  But if I go to the Last Exit website I can tell exactly which film a Cyberdyne Systems T-Shirt refers to.  Peach Trees is obvious enough to stick in people's minds.

I like the idea but find the design itself a bit bland/naff. As far as comic/movie t shirts go its ok, but I wouldn't wear it myself.

As LETN increased their number of designs they've become more obscure and quite a few aren't as distinctive or iconic as Cyberdyne and OCP.

Sure, but a lot of them still relate to obvious items from the movies - KAB radio from the fog, for example.  Peach Trees is a standout feature from the Dredd movie whereas the Resyk bit was more subtle and would be missed by many.

LETN know the geek mind thrives on attention to their passion and loves the opportunity to answer the question what does your t-shirt say?
