The "18th June only" and "flash sale" bits in the advert certainly make it sound like a one day only affair.

I think you've misinterpreted - it says "begins 12noon/11am BST Wednesday 18th June only from shop.2000ADonline.com" i.e. the shop is the only place you can get them from that point

There's a bit during the crucifixion where Jesus tells a fellow death row inmate "assuredly I say to you today you will be with Me in Paradise". The lack of punctuation in the original Greek makes it difficult to tell whether the son of God was promising his interlocutor immediate transportation to the heavens upon the instant of death, or whether a comma after the word you should have indicated a rhetorical flourish akin to I'm telling you now ...

Scholars fought bitchy wee academic wars that lasted for centuries over what the placement of a non-existent comma would have revealed to us about the existence of limbo or the transportation of the soul. Carry on.

Has anyone's sale goodies actually arrived yet? I expected some delay given the likely sale rush, but it's been ages now.

The sale only ended on Tuesday and items have already started arriving - but there were hundreds and hundreds of orders so it may take time to process them all.

Hawkmumbler

Got mine also. Right big parcel of thrill power.

Timothy

That's good to know. I didn't want to be a grumbler, but I was getting worried my order had been lost. I look forward to comicy goodness soon.

So many that apparently that's why my subscription progs haven't arrived yet. Didn't think they'd be coming from the same place but in Denise we trust. Damn you bargain hunters, DAMN YOU!

Mardroid

Mine arrived too. Read Kingdom. I'd read most of it in the Prog  but I never caught the start as I started reading the Prog on the last episode. Or 2. Whatever issue that was.

I was glad to see that Missionary Man seems to contain more material than that hardback I read in Lewisham library.

Timothy

Still nothing here. I'm starting to fret that the postie's had away with it.

Third Estate Ned

The other day my dad phoned me up to tell me: "Something big's arrived. I think it's some more comics," in a tone that suggested a consignment of clearly labelled fleshlights would have been preferable.

I always send them to his address to pick up at a later a date and he loves it. I look forward to picking them up next week.

Timothy

They've arrived! Thanks, Thargy-boy, that's my weekend sorted.

303

Yes mine came today, thanks be to the mighy Tharg.

Spaceghost

Anyone still waiting for their goodies? Mine still haven't arrived and neither did Saturday's prog.

Are the Thrill Suckers onto me?

Kind of. I ordered the Ace Trucking v2 and today I received... The Life and Death of Johnny Alpha. Anyway, I rang up Denise and she explained that due to the high demand during the sale they'd sold out of the Ace Trucking volume and I should have been offered an alternative instead. (It transpires that AT2 and TLaDoJA have the same XB numbers but in a different order and that was why, due to a typo, I'd ended up with the latter rather than the email inviting an alternative.) Anyway, it's all resolved now (in theory) as I'm sending the book back and should be getting an alternate choice instead.
