Don't want to nitpick (pardon the pun) but wasn't it Wash n' Go? I think it's important we face these big issues with a frank and open discussion

Mardroid

I imagine this has probably been answered earlier in the thread, so I apologise in advance for my laziness.

Does the Cursed Earth version (the one with the long duster) come with the proper uniform and eagle pad, etc underneath? If it does I guess I would lean more towards that one (although I can't justify ordering just yet), as long as there are more options than the duster. My reasoning is largely due to the classic style Mark 2 Lawgiver that comes with that figure.

I do like the new version, and I have seen it in some of the more modern strips, but, if I get a figure, I'd want it as close to the iconic appearance as possible. Should the Mark 3 lawgiver get past it's glitchy prototype phase, I wouldn't mind that design in future stories too (although the version in dark Justice just looked like a very chunky mark 2, but then the mark 2 is sometimes drawn like a carbine version of the mark 1).

I'm not over keen on the shoulder eagle either, but not so much the size as the style, which looks off to me. But I could live with it.

Have you seen the pic of the Lawmaster/Dredd combo? That's what Cursed Earth Dredd looks like without poncho.

Dreddzilla

Can you see the attachment? That's what "disco" dredd looks like sans poncho.

Ah, thanks.

Oh dear. Too sparkly for my liking. I'm not actually all that fussy. Dark blue, grey or black would be fine, but that's a bit much. (Edit- I might have forgiven that, but the gold arm, knee pads? So to get the authentic gun*, you have to get the wrong colour** pads? Grr!)

I think maybe I'll stick with the 3A version, I just hope they tone down the chin in that version. Hee hee. (I do love the sleek style Lawmaster though although if I had to pick just one, - like I can afford even one, heh-  I guess I'd go with the traditional mark-1 style 3A.)

I will say the black and white version of Dredd and Lawmaster look very nice, but I'd prefer the colour route with figures.

* Okay, no such thing really with Artist's takes, and I have seen both styles, but I'm sure you get what I mean.

** Okay, technically not 'wrong' as Dredd was coloured that way in some earlier strips. But they're in the minority!

From what I understand the 3A Dredd will have both mk1 & 2 Lawgivers.

Yes, I think so. By 'Mark 1' I was referring to the Lawmaster bike. But having both versions of the lawgiver is certainly an asset to the 3A version.

That's one area I certainly think Mezco dropped the ball on. They should have had both or all 3 versions of the Lawgiver avaliable for fans to choose from. Personally I link the 1st version of the mk 2 LG. I believe the version they have packed Dredd with is the 2nd version (it dosent have the circular readout) of the LG 2.

Are you kidding me? I can't delete a duplicate post?  :-\

Dreddzilla

Just received my NYCC Dredd and I must say it is glorious.  :D I even love the packaging it comes in, hoping this will be how further Mezco one 12 collective figures are packaged as i thought the DKR one was too big and takes up way too much space.

Atreides

Awesome! Cant wait to get mine! So slow to receive stuff to Sweden.. =P
I must not Fear. Fear is the mind-killer
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration
I will face my Fear
I will permit it to pass over me and through me
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path
Where the Fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

It's a fantastic figure. 3A has really got to up their A game for their Dredd, seriously I think quality wise 3A might not be able on par with Mezco's.

Think so too! I got Mezcos Batman and its a great figure! And I love that Mezco has the collector friendly box! Not such a fan of the blister pack style that 3A decided to go with.

BPP

3A's 2000ad stuff is coming out retail so blister packs probably help to shift units.

Mezcos look to have done a bang up job, the B&W in particular. I'd order a Cursed Earth one but the disco colours are just too much. Grats to all who scored but could you turn down the 3A knocking just a touch? It's clear 3A have done an unreal job on Sidney and Sam so far. Celebrate what you have, don't snipe at the purchases of others.
If I'd known it was harmless I would have killed it myself.
