You should get a letter in the mail at some point too, simply confirming your subscription and giving you your subscriber no. and contact details.

cheers,i seem to have post disappearing :( lets hope the actual books don't go the same way as the confirmation letter..
I ended up emailing them and they got back to me really quickly

Whereabouts are you based?  I picked up Issue 1 in WhSmith in deepest darkest Melton Mowbray but not seen issue 2 yet.  I'm afraid I have to say they weren't exactly flying off the shelves despite the enticing cover price.
I'm in Dorset. I've only found them in a small town called Wimborne though. The bigger places nearby like Bournemouth & Poole don't seem to have them. They only had 3 copies of issue 1 but they all seemed to go - not an easy job when they were up on the top shelf with the "gentleman's magazines"!

The 2nd one's been released in Leicestershire now too and the first one's vanished from the shops.  Fingers crossed the trial runs are deemed to be a success!

Has anyone received the first bundle of books through the post? I just phoned up the hatchette customer services to ask when my first delivery would be. After a very long pause I got the response "80 issues". Asking again I was told it would be 28 days after my subscription began. Does that sound about right?

I had a confirmation email on September 5th but not a word since. Maybe they are wanting to see the uptake before they print any more!

I've had a printed letter with subscription details - I'm number 30. Wonder if the uptake is quite low!

I mailed them as I've not had letter nor email and I was beginning to wonder if I had set it up at all. Apparently I did and I'm #000012

I signed up at the back end of last week and my number's in the low 100s.  I don't know how they'll define the success of their trial but it feels like there aren't that many of us signed up.

Come on, subscribe!!!!

If the success or failure of the venture was dependent on the number of us who subscribed, the publisher would have told us it was happening. The reason they've released a limited number of copies to certain shops in a few test areas is to see whether the general public have any interest in the series. I think they know they can count on a certain percentage of the 2000ad readership taking out subs, so how many of us do so before the series has even hit the shops is neither here nor there.

If you really want to rig the results of their test, you should be trawling newsagents along the South coast of England and buying up their entire stock. Maybe wear a different disguise each time.

Okay I already get everything 2000 AD Rebellion put out that I don't already have and I really can't afford to practically double my spend per month. For one thing, I desperately need to save for a new car before the one I have falls apart.. so, assuming this launches nationwide, who's up for posting the content of each volume as soon as it comes out so I can cherry pick for stuff I don't already own? Please? Pretty Please?

Apocalypse War is out in the newsagents this morning. Anyone had their 1st subscriber delivery yet?
