Well seen Daredevil..and suprise suprise.......

It was good!!
Still think Aflek is miscast and can't act though but give him his due he walked through it OK.
Better than Spider-man DARE I say.

"Better than Spider-man DARE I say."

Exactly what I did say, before being disagreed with by three other members of our five strong party. I know I am right though. A bit light on story, more similarities with the Crow and Blade than Spiderman, but definately worth seeing.

P.S. Watch the end titles if you go and see it, there's an extra bit with Bullseye. The film also features cameos from Stan Lee and Frank Miller.

Malchidiel

Kewl. I thought Spiderman was very lacking and relied too much on CGI. I'm not inclined to sit through that again, but Daredevil I could definately watch again, in fact I'll buy it on DVD when it comes out.

Thought there was a hell of a lot of CGI in Daredevil.
Maybe it was because it was in darkness most of the time that it's not so noticable.

I agree, but I like dark films. Very reminiscent of The Crow, which is always a plus point in my book.

and kevin smith as well he's the forensics guy urich goes to see also and the inner fanboy is coming out in me there are loads of sly refernces to writers and artists who have worked on the dare devil comics in the past

Last of the V8's

Frank Miller was in there too, I think he's the guy that Bullseye stabbed in the throat with the pencils.

Was disapointed because:

There's not that much Daredevil
Electra isn't an assasin
Some of the CGI acrobatics are well dodgy
And worse of all, that old tired cliche reared its head again - D.D gets injured in the shoulder, is so bad he can't save his girlfriend and the priest thinks he's going to die. Starts to fight Bullseye and suddenly is leaping around as if there's nothing wrong with him. Err...
The perspective on that chairs all wrong

Looks like it's you that has to eat your hat this time then.

Yeah, go figure. That means that Terminator 3 is going to be fantastic and X Men 2 a pile of poo

DareDevil still has the best "chat-up" scene in a movie.

I seen Daredevil on Thursday afternoon and left the cimema thinking 'that was OK', but on reflection I've changed my mind to 'that was pretty damned good'.

A few things let it down.
Affleck was unconvincing as Murdock.
Some ropey wirework.
Some ropey CGI (I actually like CGI stuff in general, I like stuff that looks kinda computery, it's cool, but some of the Daredevil stuff looked kinda rushed maybe, the CGI models didn't act as solid, weighty objects at times, d'ya see what I mean??).

On the plus side it stayed fairly faithful to the comic - when Daredevil was on screen there was no mistaking it was Daredevil, not some Hollywood version of what Daredevil should be. And that 'Blind Vision' thing, cool or what??

Daredevil took up enough of the movie to keep me happy, I'd have liked more, but I was content with what we got.

Yeah, that quick recovery from his shoulder injury kinda niggles at me too, but not that much.

Bullseye kicked ass (more peanuts, please).

Jan Favreau as Foggy Nelson pretty much naild that one.

M. C. Duncan perhaps underplayed his role (I've only seen him in 'The Green Mile' before, and ket expecting him to start crying or something).

I'll have a full review on ximoc soon and I'm looking forward to seeing Daredevil again.

Can't wait for the DVD.

What i DID like about it was that some of the shots were directly taken from the covers and panels:

The last shot where he fires his billy club up towards the camera is a Joe Quesada cover.
When Bullseye kills Electra with the sais, the pose is exactly as Miller drew it, even down to the sais pushing out the clothes on her back.
Just remembered what else i didn't like. Colin Farrell. Was he taking the piss or what?

speaking as a nearly 16 year old fanboy, i personally loved the film. awesome (jennifer garner may have influenced my judgement tho), action, great, cool costumes. and i was the only one to spot smith and lee out of all my friends! hurray for marvel!
