speaking as a nearly 16 year old fanboy, i personally loved the film. awesome (jennifer garner may have influenced my judgement tho), action, great, cool costumes. and i was the only one to spot smith and lee out of all my friends! hurray for marvel

Ah, enjoyable fun, I'm not into the comic book, so i'm not really irked by much of it.

Still, he must have had a can of super shoulder heal on him.

Jared Katooie

Does it play that awful music during every fight or just one of them?

petemaskreplica

Awful music? I loved every second of the thing, didn't notice the music. Thinkin' of seein it again pretty soon.

(also gonna buy sum old d'd comics so i can read up on my new role-model's life-history. never bin much of a fan, till now.)

Stick to Fank Miller and Dave Mazzuchelli issues and you wont be dissapointed. Avod Ann Nocenti, Even John Romita Jr couldn't save those issues.

Not read it since Tony McDaniel (95-96?) did the art, so I may have missed some good stuff, but I may have missed a lot of toss.

The Kevin Smith run was actually very good (available in trade) and the Bendis/Maleev run is excellent and very popular with fans. Maleev's art is very suitably dark and a bit noirish.

I've just got back from seeing Daredevil. It was great and all, but my question is this: WHERE WAS THE NEW X2 TRAILER? They showed the old one, the one that's been floating around the X2 website for months, but I deliberately avoided watching the new trailer online this morning, as I thought I'd save it for the big screen. Now I'm back at my girlfriend's house. She doesn't have a broadband connection, and I'm frankly not prepared to sit & watch my beard grow while I wait for the trailer to trickle down her 56K connection. BAH! Death to UGC and their slovenly trailer updating ways!
Dan Dare will return for a new adventure soon, Earthlets!

sorry to disagree with most of you but I thought it was utter shite!!

Ben Aflec has absolutley no screen presence was the main problem and he had obviously not worked out for the role.

I found certain parts of the film just laughable and the fight at the end between him and kingpin ended poorly, kicked in the legs and then knelt there like a cheap whore.

He can see when in rains, ok. no excuses for peeing on the seat then!!

he gets deafened by load noises, bit of a flaw. Defeated by Hari Krishna!!

sorry did not work for me at all

Bart Oliver

Got round to seeing Daredevil yesterday.

I thought it was reasonable fare- an improvment on the the tv pilot from the late eighties/early ninties(?) starring that hombre from Street Hawk.

SPOILers..

The CGI was patchy in places but I liked the way Daredevil's radar sense was handled- reminiscent of Pitch Black.

I noticed that Jack Murdock was fighting John Romita- see the headliners outside the boxing   arena.

The floatation tank was a nice addition.

Electra's ninja forces were none existant- see Miller's Electra Assasin.

And although she 'died'.. seeing the brail charm at the end of the film indicated to me that if Fox drum up enough cash from box office sales and develop a sequel she may well 'live again' .

Bullseye didn't get the costume he asked for.

I'll never look at a paper clip or bag of peanuts in the same way again..
Obviously you're not a golfer.

The Big Man

Went 2 see it 2nite with a young lady friend and thought it was pretty damn good. I thought it was more like the first Tim Burton Batman movie than Spiderman. I spotted Stan Lee too.
"Is there a problem here ?"

Danny Franks

Here's my favourite review so far from (probably) the best page in the universe!

"The floatation tank was a nice addition."

Wouldn't he be too wrinkly to fight crime?

Marbles

Pedantic I know, but the flotation tank is actually used in Frank Miller's run on Daredevil, to some excellent artistic effect in one particularly ground-breaking issue as I recall.

I sa wthe film finally last night & enjoyed it despite the many cheesy moments, very dodgy CGI & a lame ending. Actually it hard to say why I did like it, but strangely I did. Hope there's sequel. Or mebbe a 'Foggy Nelson' spin-off ?? :)

Oi! I liked the Ann Nocenti Dare Devils.
