Will anyone else be going to the Stop the War march on Staurday?

Can anyone think of any good slogans?

The best suggestions so far is:

'Oil get you Bush if it's the last thing I do...'

Andy B.

How about -

"I'm against war on general principals, but on reflection it may be the only option at this stage"?

Wils

or...

"War is pointless. War is evil. War is hell."

And that's on-topic as well!

Wils

or even

"George and Tony, sitting in a tree..."

Queen Firey-Bou

dya know theyre even having a march at stornaway Isle of lewis & portree isle of skye, whay to go guys !

"oy Blair do you think we're stupid ?"

sadly i shall be letting the anarcho' side down by whizzing around the countryside in a rally car burning up precious oil in the name of self indulgence. tragically i bet we get more press coverage.   tell you what if i get an interview i shall atone for my sins, " yes its a standard 205 with no modifications...death to Blair & Bush....but i felt we held the first stage well...etc"

Demon Chicken

"War is peace. Freedom is Strength. Ignorance is Slavery."

"Patria o Muerte"

"Dulce est Decorum est Pro Patria Mori"

DavidXBrunt

That should be Dulce ET decorum...' It's a latin phrase meaning (roughly) 'It is sweet and meet to die for ones country'. An odd choice for an anti-war banner, but fitting in the context of it being the title of one of the World War 1 poet Wilfred Owens most famous poems, as it now sums up all that is wrong about war.

To attone for my earlier silliness may I suggest another Latin Phrase. It means 'Peace always' and was the collegiate motto of Blairs house at University. It might have a sobering effect on him, remind him of earlier idealism. It's worth a try at least. The phrase is 'La Placa Rifa'.

"Allll we are sayyying is give war a chance!"

Tex Hex

Too right. If only 'cos the other half is making me ... Oh, and George square is near some good-ish pubs.

Not that Im against demonstrating, its more that Im a bone idle bugger. If my girlfriend dosnt make me or theres no beer involved, chances are it wont get done.
