against what measure does Tharg calculate Thrill level saftey?

Because my life has been just a little too thrill packed recently, & ive got behind with prog reading, should i catch up quickly to re-alighn my Thrill buffers, or take it easy in small bites so not to blow the circuits further?

what happens if my life is just too thrilling & i start finding fan-girldom dull ?! Is 2K designed as an anti-dote to mudane reality? what happens when mundane is a foreign concept?

There i was this morning feet away from a raging inferno that used to be someones house, a flaming wind fuelled vortex of over 700 degrees with blocks & bits of roof falling around my ears, & you know i wasn't particularily exited .
Maybe my Thrill buffers have melted down irrepairably already ?

It is obviously decided on a sliding scale, with junker and trash at one end and dante and jhonny alpha at the other.
You see, the only logical reason for stories like the two mentioned above, or dry run, or space girls etc., is simply to reset the thrill power detectors.

i would  agree with this.you cannot truly appreacatie? enjoy something.unless you understand how good it is compared to something else.

reading several progs at a time. wonderful if you are in a pleasant and relaxed state.without fear of interuption.
would suggest a spa,country club,or secluded spot in summer under tree.bring said pile of progs.and read the stories in correct order. truly bliss.ASYLUM is the best for this in recent months.you will weep.its awesome.
the "can i see the rabbits now" will rip your heart out all over again.
but for reading a few back progs. be careful , its good but when you get into a story and then find its still in progress. you get annoyed. and feel cheated.but the sense of wow that was a great way to spend XXX time is totally worth the effort.
