Has anyone played this yet? I tried several times last night but after I'd gone through all the hassel of selecting a character and playing level, the game kept throwing up a connection error. Can anyone tell me if it's any good. I'd try again but don't want to run up a huge phone bill trying. And just out of interest, how come 2K haven't really advertised the game?

What is City Quake? I haven't come across it...

If you have an Orange phone with web access, you can play games on-line. One of the games, Judge Dredd: City Quake, allows you to compete head to head against other players. It's a Quake style game, but on a phone. You play as either Judge or Perp across various areas of MegaCity One. I tried to play as Mean Machine, but couldn't get the damn thing to work.

Gotcha. I'm on Vodaphone, though  :(

I take it it's not a FPS righr? If it is however it might be nice to be able to play it somewhere other than a phone.

Last I heard the Judgement mod for Half-life (with judge VS perp action) was all but complete.

Other than that you're hard-pressed for 2K gaming.

Gizza few months and we should have that one remedied.  :)

There are in fact two different versions of Cityquake - a story-led RPG and indeed a first-person shooter, though obviously being on a phone, it is more reminiscent of classic 8-bit games such as Aliens than Unreal Tournament!

Bugger. That was supposed to say "Ahem - I beg to differ...", but I put the "Ahem" in them there "pointy bracket" things, on account of it being, like, a sound effect, and the board read it as HTML and left it out. Arses.

Click the link anyway, JK - I like to think people are looking at the site!
