Hmmm, think so? Dredd's good but what have we had so far but a slugfest? Slaine had lovely art but felt like Mills was sleepwalking it. And the others aren't too memorable right now are they?

I agree with Max. Except for Dredd.

I feel Dredd is exceptional at present. Hopefully the standard will spread and become the norm.

The Mighty One has a hard task to please everyone. Of course, not even the great green one can please all of the readers all of the time. As the above posts indicate.
I for one am very happy about the current quality of 2000AD's stories. As I have said before, I am not such a great fan of Bec and Kawl, but I know plenty of people are.
And when we get to the really, really great stories, Man that's when life is worth living.

So keep up the great work Tharg!

Whether to what degree you like the strips, the majority are well drawn and well written. I think the standard is ever improving, unless there is some catastrophic drain of talent it will probably just get better.

Mind you I still think there is a long way to go, I keep getting lent american comics which are more imaginitive, stylish, sophisticated, mature and funny (although they are usually by british bods), so I don't think there's any room for complacency.
