Well, I hadn't really intended on doing anything else: Truth be told, the girl in question was sitting behind a computer at the opposite end of a big desk full of other people behind computers.
While frantically jobhunting, I am spending many long boring hours every day in internet cafes applying to jobs and printing CV's and letters. I just saw a pleasant sight which relieved the tedium somewhat, thought I'd jokily tell this board while I was visiting it, and frankly, wish I hadn't.
Ah well. Two interviews coming up, so hopefully such an appalling incident in a cafe will never happen again.

Cheers, man, I had an interview today for a fairly standard telephone / computer monkey number which seemed to go very smoothly, so fingers crossed. In the meantime I am sending illustrations and cartoons to magazines and newspapers in the hope of getting a more interesting sideline, but no replies yet... someday, hopefully.

Here is a true story from the last time I signed on: A huge queue had formed in the dole-office, it being signing-on day. SOme pissed bloke came in to sign on, saw the size of the queue, and started shouting, 'What's this shite? We don't have to put up with this! Come on, we're TAXPAYERS!'
