Wish me luck, I'm going on a Subcrawl around Glasgow tomorrow.  This is undoubtedly the finest pubcrawl (in the finest city) in the world.

Feel free to join me and my mates for a pint at any point if you happen to be in Glasgow - we'll be following the route on the website starting in St Enochs  (Times Square) at around 12-45 and taking 45 minutes per stop from then.

I tend to get increasingly right wing as I get drunker so by the time we roll up back at Buchanan Street I'll be saying "That Tony Blair has got a , hic, point you know..."

And if you do follow the link, I'm the one with the rubber chicken that you can seeon the Phot Diaries pages.

well have fun Mr Tips, don't mix the drinks, keep yur protien levels up & no brawling. I'd join you except i'd end up stood in a corner with that tipsy 'what the f...!? look on my face, then i'd get increasingly lefto anarchistic , so by the end of the night we might disagree about comic characters or somthing terrible.
I'll be boozing with the brigade boys....have fun.

Goodbye Mr Tips, if you don't come back who gets your comix?

I'm gonna send this webpage round the rest of the 'Millicent Fritton Temperance Society' and see if i can get us thro for a Subcrawl some time, we'd have the added joy of the train back to civilisation!

There are a few pubs in the mighty Glasgow I really like.

I had a girlfriend who attended the school of Dentisrty on (excuse spelling) Suchihall Street, the girlfriend is now long defunct, but the memory lives on (see earlier thread - Mecha Bou knows what I'm on about...)

Anyway, onto the pubs... Nice 'n' Sleasy and Brunswick Sellers (if indeed they still exist, it's been quite some time!!). Go to these pubs, get some memrobellia, send it to me. Please, I really miss those days....

I remember going over to visit mentied girlfriend at Easter AND IT WAS SNOWING, AT EASTER!!! only a hot wiskey was enough to warm the cockles of my soul to help us make the journey to her flat..

Ahhh, those were the days...

Goodbye Mr Tips!  he..hehe..

I thought this was to be a thread about Alex and his brothers and random acts of violence.  In bowler hats.

Was dissapointed.

well friday night i found to be a younh sprog free zone, so i considered a local pub crawl, we've got the Rockvilla with freemasons & tumble weed, madatory conversation topic, shiny.
or the Lochcarron, full of pissed up druggy loosers who live in pea sized realitys( & the twitching ex) saying hey man whereve you been you should get out more (sadly irony is lost on the habitually inebriated)
Or the strathcarron full of surly rednecks where the madatory subject is how crap the lochcarron is, and sheep..
so i stayed in & caught up with progs....

The Monarch

you droog so did i oh well back to beethhovan

shiny= shinty, not shiney at all.

Sleazy's is still there, and exactly the same as it always was, Ump. I was in it a few months ago.

I never bothered with Brunswick Cellars, as it was too far from where I lived, so I don't know if it's still around.

I was genuinely tempted, by the way, by Tips' invitation, as I met him at Dreddcon and he's a nice bloke. (Despite his bitchy posts... :-p)

However, the Royal treasury remains depleted. Oh well.

Have fun, Tippo!

So, give us the scandal, then.

How was it, Mr Tipples?

The Brunswick Cellars does indeed still exist: a sort of dingey wine cellar accessed by ricketty stairs, with wine bottle candles on the tables and dead students slumped in its far recesses.  I'm rather fond of it.

Last time I went they let me in, but my droids had to stay outside.

Tiplodocus

We had a great time.

It was a small but perfectly formed Sub which I will add photos and details of to the Official Sub Crawl Site when I get them scanned in.

Just in case any of the Scottish residents are even vaguely interested, the Sub Crawl web site has been updated with the results of our last venture into Glasgow's Underground - named the SEEK ASSISTANCE Sub Crawl.

I always find it amusing to see just how bad my typing gets after about 10 drinks and there's plenty of evidence in the Sub Diary (Part Two). There's also plenty of pictures (I'm in the Superman fleece)

cheers
