Sky news this morning (very early) we're suggesting that our friends across the water want a debate between Sadam and G.W. Bush.

I want to see one between Tharg- The Mighty One, and King Trout.

That said, I was most disappointed to not win favour with the fishy one over my addition to the "embarrassing tales" thread. Thought I was in line for another medal there- for stupidity and buffoonery above and beyond the call of duty- but alas, no...

Maybe I'll leave my light sabre where it is!

Well, all kidding aside- the grumpy sods don't *have* to read anything that's "off topic".

I don't get the big deal about this anyway. If it was all "on topic", we'd forever debate the crapness/greatness of Sin/Dex- or something else equally tedious. There's only so many times you can weigh up Hookjaw against Shako after all. I reckon all fan sites can benefit from a bit of off topic banter- and usually find that those with strict on-topic rules are a bit- well- boring.

The fact that I can come in here and talk about virtually anything is what makes it stand out from the crowd, for me. I like the people here and I like the inane discussions that they often provoke. I can tell you that I wet the bed last night and people will either reply, or they won't. It'll amuse some and leave others cold.

I didn't wet the bed last night, by the way.

The fact that we all have something in common (2000ad) is just a bonus in my book. For a start, it means I can say things like "Grud on a greenie" without feeling too much of a twat.

I shall wear my medal with pride.

There's plenty of room for fun & serious posts here IMO. Mebbe a 'just for fun' thread label option being available would help, so anyone not interested in silliness can steer clear if they aren't in the mood, tho' tbh its pretty clear anyway.
