I'm on a roll - its
Planet of the damned
... hoping my confidence doesn't bite my bum here at first I thought its was
Complete Slaine the Horned God
...

AlexF

Could it be
Shakara: the Destroyer
? Colin seems pretty confident though...

TordelBack

I'm thinking Eglinton's
Outlier
meself. Was that ever collected?

broodblik
Outlier
was collected in the meg.
No 392-394
When I die, I want to die like my grandfather who died peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming like all the passengers in his car.

Old age is the Lord's way of telling us to step aside for something new. Death's in case we didn't take the hint.

Colin YNWA
Outlier
is a thrill I always think got a bit of short shrift - I really liked it and look forward to reading it soon(ish)

ColinYNWA got it with Planet of the Damned.

Quote from: RebellionWorlds Of The Weird!

Beyond the Bermuda triangle lies a world, so hostile to human beings, that those stranded there know it as 'The Planet Of the Damned!'

When a Tri-Star jet crashes on this treacherous world, the survivors find themselves being relentlessly attacked by all forms native flora and fauna, including the monstrous Ab-humans. Fortunately they are discovered by Flint – another human resident stranded on this world long ago. With their axe-wielding guide taking charge, some of the survivors may just find a way to return home alive!

Quote from: GoogleTranslateGood luck!

After the devil, the devil is cruel in the world, and his people will be caught! He wants to.

Of the three I am with you! However, the flying stars of this type of planet, and all others, resemble the violence of all animals and plants, and among them is fear and the European contractor. Fortunately, the rock, which lasted a long time, was fine. Did some people in his house tell them he had gone with an ax to save him?

Apparently European contractors are Ab-humans?

Died throughout the world are those who fear the only person out to destroy the life of a fire death under the laws of the Supreme Court against death wrong! The righteousness of their own, and bring hither in the first they are formidable threat to the region in the city of the great cities. Only the best of telegrams and pissy Females trustworthy department can stop them from committing genocide in the big city!

Probably not that difficult a one today, but that's only half the fun...

I, Cosh

Can I be the first to guess
Necropolis
?
We never really die.

TordelBack
Dark Judges
are the characters for sure, but which series/book?

Aye, maybe I was too hasty. Reading it again it could easily be
Fall of Deadworld
, but I've already had my guess!
We never really die.

AlexF

If I had to guess a single story, I'd guess
Anderson, Psi Division: the Four Dark Judges
-but for an entire collection, I don't know? Maybe
Dark Justice
?

Hmmm so the trick here is identifying the specific graphic novel. I'm going to plump for
Judge Dredd - The Dark Judges Digest
but it could be any number of related stories / appearances / versions.

Trickier than it first looks this one!

Dandontdare

Where would the Trustworthy Department be without it's pissy females?

sheridan

I knew everybody would identify the Dark Judges would be involved, but which iteration and collection?

Quote from: RebellionThe Four Lawmen Of The Apocalypse!

They came from Deadworld – twisted, ungodly versions of Judges with enough power to destroy the world! Led by the cadaverous super-fiend Judge Death, Judges Fear, Fire & Mortis share a chilling ethos – as only the living can break the law, all life is a crime! The fearsome foursome are intent on bringing their brand of justice to Mega-City One. Only Judge Dredd and Psi-Division's finest telepath Cassandra Anderson can stop them from committing a Mega-City massacre!

The specific edition was this one: Judge Dredd: The Dark Judges (containing Judge Death, Judge Death Lives and the debut Anderson series).  Tordel identified the DJs, AlexF identified one of the stories and Colin YNWA got the specific edition.
