Pick your top 2 by simply popping the years you think have the best covers in a reply to this thread. I'll close up voting Tuesday 8th December (if my timings are right?!?). Count up and the top cover will go through (I've explained that somewhere...) to the knockout stages.

I'm going to address a possible point of contention here before the get go. Why is Prog 1961 from 2015 qualifying is it specifically Christmassy. Well aside from colours and tones - which I'd not allowed examples of e.g. the glorious Prog 2011ad cover which I adore bit I judge not specifically Christmassy on the back of this double cover there is a hovering building glowing from the inside like a stable and critically with a single bright 'star' hovering above it. I take this as a nativity scene and so it qualified in my eyes... I could be wrong but them's the breaks!

Any questions just ask.

2007 and 2015. My favorite two covers here, Ezquerra and Kennedy!

abelardsnazz

2015, the great Ian Kennedy.

2016, Cliff delivers as ever.

When I die, I want to die like my grandfather who died peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming like all the passengers in his car.

Old age is the Lord's way of telling us to step aside for something new. Death's in case we didn't take the hint.

Barrington Boots

You're a dark horse, Boots.

TordelBack

2004 because even after all these years I still absolutely love Dante's hand sizzling, and 2015 because c'mon man, it's Ian Kennedy.

SmallBlueThing(Reborn)

2007 and 2019 because they both made me very happy indeed when I bought them.

Funt Solo

An angry nineties throwback who needs to get a room.

2015 - incredible return from the legendary Ian Kennedy
2019 - Alex Ronald's covers are always a treat and this one is a particular gem

I, Cosh

2004 and 2016. The ones which best bring in the Christmas theme.
We never really die.

Well this one has suffered from the weekend lull and so number of votes are pretty low (I've worked out how to factor that in with the 0.5 going through I think!). So if any folks still fancy voting on this one pop into day as I'm finishing off the group stage by counting this one up in the morning.

If I'd known it was harmless I would have killed it myself.
