Who do you want round yours this Christmas? DR and Quinch by Alan 'The Dandy' Davis or Tharg and his merry minions by Alex 'Axer' Ronald. There may be 34 years between these covers but they are both brilliant - THAT DOESN'T MATTER AS ONE MUST DIE!!!!

Vote by simply popping the year you think has the best cover in a reply to this thread. No messing about this round just 2 DAYS this round and I'll close up voting first thing Sunday 'Unlucky for one' 13th December (if my timings are right?!?). Count up and the top cover will go through to the semi-finals.

Any questions just ask.

Prog 2162. Great Christmas cover with Tharg and his droids...not even a thrill-sucker can resist Tharg's holiday spirit.

1985 gives me a Festive retro-Thrill (and should be shown in all its wraparound glory) but I like 2019 more so I'm going with that one.

Barrington Boots

2019 is my choice. Lovely composition and much more festive.
You're a dark horse, Boots.

Tomwe

2019, I didn't even consider the DR cover earlier in the tourney so it's a surprise to see it here.

SmallBlueThing(Reborn)

2019 for me as well- that one actually stopped me in my tracks when I first saw it on the shelves.

When I die, I want to die like my grandfather who died peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming like all the passengers in his car.

Old age is the Lord's way of telling us to step aside for something new. Death's in case we didn't take the hint.

Ronald's cover is a gobsmacking work of art, but it lacks Mrs. Quinch. 1985 for me.

Even without the full glory of the wraparound, I'm voting' 1985. It's not Christmas without a machine gun. (Ho Ho Ho)

Sure and the 2019 rendition is polished, but 1985's DR & Quinch manages to parody the season AND reference all of their adventures.

Tis 1985 for me.
An angry nineties throwback who needs to get a room.

2019. I first voted the prog number, not the year...
