"Weirdly related wickermanesque note: I just drove down the M5 yesterday on my way to a wedding in Devon (hurrah) and blow me if there's not this big fuckoff sculpture figure thingy made out of wicker. Very odd."

Did it look like this, Spurious?

was anyone else at glastonbury 93 ? the year there was a huge feck off wicker man built, they wanted to set fire to it, but fire regulation bods werent happy, until the final day of fessie, when it got set alight... fantastic ! what a sight ! really freaky, the crowd was cornered off quite a distance, but as i was working as part of the site crew i managed to sneaky right in close next to it... another classic 'why don't i have a camera' moments in life.

have a fantastic time zeep !

Queen Firey-Bou

oh yeah... and take a camera.

Something Fishy

Yep in Somerset.

There is a reason why i fly out of Cornwall these days Spu!!

You thing i'm driving through the Pagan lands of the unholy SOMERSET.  No way.

Richmond Clements

If they ask you to help look for young Rowan Morrison, don't do it!

Something Fishy

I'm not going near them.

Anyway, they'll have millions of naive tourists to burn now, so they won't be looking west.

Edward Woodward does live down here quite a bit so i hope he doesn't attract them.  gulp.

"We Didn't burn him!"

Richmond Clements

"You did wonderfully, Karne!"

Capt.Zeep

Thought I'd sling this back up as it's this w/e.  We're all hyped up and ready to ROCK! ;)

Anyone going?http://www.houseofhorrors.com/wicker3.jpg">

Queen Firey-Bou

I'd love to come Zeep, & you know I would actually since being anywhere rather than home or work at the mo' is good. But I'm off to a rally this w/e in Trouts kingdom.

have a great one & say Hi to all them there that know me...except that you won't know who they are..

Capt.Zeep

Cheers Bou :)
The motor's packed and we're about to rumble.  I'm bearing the DVD of The Wicker Man (which Karne gave me for being cheeky about him) which I'm going to persuade the alternative cinema to show at some ungodly hour.
Anyway I'm going to shut up about this festival now, unless it's brilliant, or amusingly disasterous, in which case I shall ramble on about it on my return.

Woolly

What does the Maypole represent?
A cock!

As for the Sneaker Pimps cover of How Do....
Anyone else notice that its a cover of the edited version from the original release?
Theres a line missing somewhere, but i wont go into it as that would be a little bit sad.....!

Arguably the greatest film to come out of Britain.
