It seems a little unfortunate, but also strangely reassuring to discover that even the professionals can't find a copy of issue #1 without sticky tape damage :)

I remember buying them and thinking in 40 years time these'll be worth a bit of money.40 years later...

Just a heads up this on Rarewaves eBay shop for £34.83

I see the release date for this has been pushed back a month. Anyone know why? Was hoping to get this for my birthday at the end of the month.

I got this about my pre-order at the end of last month.

QuoteWe are getting in touch with you regarding your pre-order of the 40 Years of Scream! collection.

We have been informed that due to ongoing delays to global shipping, we have unfortunately been forced to push back the release date of this title. Both standard and slipcase editions will now ship on or before the 22nd of May.

While these delays are beyond our control, we are very sorry for the delay. We want to ensure that you receive a premium product to the highest possible standard and we are doing all we can to ensure that the dispatch of all orders will commence as swiftly as possible.

We greatly appreciate your patience as we work to get this book to your hands, but we believe the wait will be worth it.

Ohhhh has anyone else's arrived today?

Mine's just landed - love when you get a surprise like this - and not had a chance to look at it properly yet but from a very quick glance its looks lovely, smells nice and just seems to get under the comfortable to read threshold.

So this could be a win all round!

Barrington Boots

No sign of mine yet, but I pre-ordered it along with vol 2 of The Sarge, so no idea if they'll be posting them both in September or not. I'd have expected a shipping email if it was en route.
You're a dark horse, Boots.

No sign of mine yet either. Not that I was expecting it today - at the very least it might be despatched today. I got the "it's been released!" email, but no despatch notification email. Although that's not unusual from Rebellion. Sometimes I get a despatch email a few days after the order turns up.

For those who have it, are the issues reprinted sequentially or are the individual strips grouped together?

When I die, I want to die like my grandfather who died peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming like all the passengers in his car.

Old age is the Lord's way of telling us to step aside for something new. Death's in case we didn't take the hint.

Colour as well? Is it basically like a bound copy of the comics then?

Colin YNWA

The only colour I think is on the covers (still only flicked through) and there are only examples of editorial stuff in the extra materials section I think.

Still overall a very handsome package.

Doomlord66

Mine arrived today from Speedyhen, well packaged in a strong cardboard box which seems to be specially made for this type/size.

Yes, all the colour covers are present, the wraparound across 2 pages in all their glory. The regular 2 centre pages that were in colour are also present.

Not a great deal of extras -
2 pages of intro from editors Ian Rimmer and Barrie Tomlinson
2 pages of unpublished Dracula artwork
1 page of unpublished Newcomers artwork
1 page of unpublished cover artwork for issue 19
4 pages of adverts for Scream that appeared in other comics
2 pages of unpublished artwork of Ghastly
The Hunt for Dracula game from Holiday Special 1988 in colour
Ghastly's Holiday Ghost Hunt from Holiday Special 1986 in colour.

Would anyone have any insight into why the editorials, readers letters and art submissions were exculded from the archive?
While it being nice to have all the issues presented,it feels like part of the socisl history of the comic and it's presentation is missing to me
