The quality of those covers makes me weep. I'd love to see all the early Eagle covers collected in a portfolio depicting the b/w originals and their final colour prints.

Look at that one with Dredd under the tank. Bolland at his best.

Depth and implied movement and beautiful composition. I'd never seen that one before but I'm beginning to understand why some people felt disappointed with Brian's recent 2K cover.

I still like the Orlok one, but these are streets ahead.
