I hope if rogue trooper is coming back it's not another ghastly parody.  How can one strip suffer so many injustices (okay so there's robohunter and strontium dog too).  Then lame strips such as Mercy Heights are shackled onto them in a desperate bid to give them some sense of respectibility theny could never in a million years have managed for themselves.  

I think the blame lays fairly and squarely with Dave Gibbons and his well intentioned re-invention (something he picked up from Mr Moore)of Rogue, which opened the floodgates for a mind numbing tidal wave of tat.

I really want to see Rogue back, but a half decent rogue, the original rogue, not friday rogue or mercy heights rogue, or Hit rogue.  Just plain old fashioned shooting and biochips with the original gang.  But to be honest the whole thing looks like such a mess I can only wish you luck.

i thought rogue was dead? mind you, i though rogue was the last GI until friday came along, and then tor cyan came along and just made a farce of it all. i got the rogue trooper special issue a couple of years back, and that was skill - particularly the full colour reprint of the first rogue strip... those were the days :)

Well, if Johnny Alpha's coming back, why not the original Rogue? The only problem's how they handle it. Another untold tales type thing'll be ok, but it's there's no suspense, because you know when he dies etc. so they won't do anything life-changing to the character, it'll be shooting by numbers stuff. On the other hand if he comes back to life it'll be incredibly cheesy, UNLESS they give it to someone good. Fingers crossed that his spirit doesn't live on in Tor Cyan or something equally bad...
