Just checking how many readers enjoy marzipan.  It's made with almonds so admittedly may be deadly to some readers.

I should have had a nuts warning in the title (you are telling me buster).

I for one really liked marzipan as a kid, though I find it almost repellant now, I still eat it when desperate for sugar.

I'd be interested in what Pat Mills and John Wagner think.

Who's playing a guitar?  Aargh the lights.  No, I don't want to go!  Etc.

Believe it or not there are another 6 or 7 people on this website at this time in the morning.  The most I've ever seen is twenty, which is odd considering there are supposed to be thirty thousand readers.

Oh well, I'm off to play with magnets.

Marzipan? Isn't that some prescibed narcotic to make insomiacs sleep?

paulvonscott

Oh I wish.

Unfortunately I have been prescribed an alcohol/caffeine combinative drug (by myself, Dr PVS), which makes me never want to sleep.

It's a special prescription but you can replicate it at home with some jack daniels and coke.  It may not be suitable for all, heh, who cares?

H'mm. Almonds, eh? Isn't Tor Cyanide supposed to smell of such?

With reference to the title of this thread: may I advise avoiding consumption of large quantities of marzipan together with large quantities of spirits.

Y'see, cyanide doesn't smell of almonds, almonds smell of cyanide ... 'cos it contains cyanide compounds.

It's possible, although unlikely, that the alcohol will separate the cyanide in marzipan and kill you stone dead!

This has been an announcement for the Good of the Public Health.

So now you know!

Cheers
