My fantasy Summer Line up with no real thought to it (I'm making it up as I go along) is:

Halo Jones:  Book 4 (Alan Moore is told by a mystical being on the ninth plateau that, yes, he should do it)

Judge Dredd:  Clone Wars (more continuing Dredd storyline of some kind)

Strontium Dog:  History lesson (Reports of his death were grossly exaggerated)

Something New:  A Classic New strip that makes you want to explode with thrill power.

Rogue Trooper:  Bobby was in the shower (Everthing is going to be allright)

I tried desperatlely to think of a newer strip to add in but failed, so I've added 'Something New' my Wild Card.

Cool line up PVS. How about this for an idea. If we all bin our progs in which Johnny Alpha & Rogue die then we can all pretend it never happened & Tharg could bring them back without any continuity errors. Failing that we could all leg it round to the Nerve Centre and beat the shit out of old green bonce until he admits that killing Alpha & introducing Friday was a mistake and brings them back.

Wot, no Bad Company book 5, Paul? ;>  Frankly, I'm astonished.

And just wait until you see the last episode of this Bad Company series.  Oooooh boy....

"And just wait until you see the last episode of this Bad Company series. Oooooh boy..."

Oh yes, very brave of Brett and Jim to include bits of artwork from the old Bad Company on the last page.

Compare and contrast, kids!

Ha, well, of course I did consider BC, but it's here at the moment and I was waiting to see how it ends.  Still it's a fantasy line up and anything is allowed.

That was absolutely horrible, wasn't it?  They've got a (new artwork) piccie of Kano as the centrepiece, and it's so poorly drawn that I'd be embarrassed for it if it was something from a fanzine or a Nerve Centre readers' drawing, and then they surround it with photocopied images from old Bad Company stories.

Like the mad said, compare and contrast, kids.    And then weep.

The only sure way to kill a PVS is to seperate the head from the body, remove the heart, stuff the spleen with garlic, invoke the powers of the third Ziggurat, pour pepper in his eyes, irradiate the thyroid gland, paint him blue, prod him with a sharp stick, nuke him from orbit and finally say nasty things about Bad Company.  If you have messed up even one of those things, I shall return about twenty to thirty times as powerful with the ability to enter your rooms at night and tattoo pictures of Kano on your forehead.

Bless.

" I shall return about twenty to thirty times as powerful with the ability to enter your rooms at night and tattoo pictures of Kano on your forehead. "

Oh well, better you than Brett Ewins ;-)

paulvonscott

p.s. the tattoo's are in the style of Brett Ewins!

Dang Dang Dannggg!

LOL, I fear that for the rest of my life I will be pursued by people in the streets throwing rocks at me complaining about bad company.

Oh the slings and arrows (and rocks) of outraged fandom...

What are your fantasy line-ups guy's?  Obviously no BC, I've picked up some negatve vibes there...

Fnatasy line-ups... Don't know if Kylie's ever been featured in 2000Ad before. Oh, I see... well, I'd have to agree with you about more Rogue Trooper. I'd like a final story for Slaine. The Secret Commonwealth was a crap thing to go out on. I'd also like it to be drawn by McMahon, but I doubt that will happen.

Of recent stuff, I'd like to see Carver Hale again, but with darker, more atmospheric art.

A  Tharg strip in which the script droids responsible for Killer, Telguuth, and Red Fang are forced to explain themselves on pain of being fed to MekQuake.

Judge Death would be nice. What's that you say there IS some Death coming? WooHoo!

Kylie was in the first Muzak Killer Strip with a slightly changed name - really good the way she finished the strip - if only someone could really do this......

Really? Who drew the first Muzak Killer strip and is it a Dredd story or a series in it's own right which I've never heard of?

Nathan - suddenly intrigued...

Ace Garp finally gets out of the clink and hits the skids because he's broke. After waking up from a Macmac stupor he runs into his old rival Jago Kain, also broke. They form an unholy alliance to ruin that little uffer Feek. They consider setting Evil Blood on to him but come up with a much more cruel plan - they call the External Revenue Service. General hilarity ensues.

I would go along with the original selection with a little bit of early stylie Robo Hunter just to inject a little bit of humour into the proceedings
The Robo Hunter where (I think) they send a robot to create an ideal world (I'm sure his name was 'Smokin Joe') was one of my favorites from too long ago.
Otherwise I'd go for any other strip with a nice line in dark humour, any other suggestions.
