Im sure i remember way back in the early 80's and when my 2000AD collection was less than half its present size Titan started their graphic novel collections. (but i dont think they were called that then.) Any way back to the point, im sure i saw it writtern somewhere that in the Nemesis book (possibly #1) there was a page or 2 of artwork/story never used in tooth itself because it was commissioned for the collection. Is this true and can anyone shed anymore light on this sunject? a scan would be nice if anyone has one.
I also remember seeing (and this does exist) a one-off famine charity comic from about 1985? that has a Ron Smith Dredd page and also a lovely Kevin O'Niel Nemesis and A.B.C. Warriors story page and it was fab. Also while were at it does anyone know of any other appearances of 2000AD characters out of the comic but still in 'character' or specially commissioned strips???

Leigh S

Twas the ABC Warriors books - they had a 4 page intro in Book 1, followed by a 4 page outro in book 2.  They have been reprinted in the recent Titan Collection, as well as elsewhere

As for strips elsewhere - one I dont have, but remember reading about is a Dredd strip used by some education authority with art possibly by Bryan Talbot?  Don't know if this exists for sure, but it would be nice if someone out there knew more.

ARRISARRIS

Think i may have that somewhere. Sure it was something to do with road safety and was a single page in colour. Ill have to big it out when i get a chance. Many thanks for your answer Watcher.

Ive found it. Its actually about selling food under false protences and is drawn by Brian with script by Mike Gibas??? Its in colour, with he proper Dredd logo and is even copyrighted to Fleetway so is it canonical Dredd?

I'd love to see a scan, double-Arris.

Never done that before. If i scan it into my computer picture file how do i post it on this thread page?

Trout

Hmm. I'm not a putting-things-on-the-net person.

Certainly, Wake might well upload it, if you ask. It might be a good one for the Thrillviewer, given its rarity value?

Please send a scan to binaries@2000adonline.com and I'll post it on this thread, even if I don't put it on the Thrillviewer

Cheers,

Here's the scan.

The width you've sent is 620 pixels. It could be a little wider (650 pixels). Where exactly was this published?

Sorry thats the best i can do with my A4 scanner. If anyone at2000ad has a wider scanner i would be glad to send in my copy for the archives as long as it is returned. Not exactly sure where it comes from, a friend gave it to me. On the reverse side is a topics page and in the bottom right corner is a logo reading INFO with a vertical line through the O. Does this give any clues to anyone?

I believe it was in some school circulated magazine/newspaper - I seem to recall my evil sister telling me it had appeared, but only after they had long been consigned to the school bins!

Theres also that advert that Anthony Williams did the art for that appeared in the back of taxis - like a short Daily Star Dredd strip thing in the same style as this one...

any chance of seeing that now, Rebellion?

Wake

Don't worry about it for the website, but I'll mention it to Alan Barnes in case he's interested in it for the Megazine
