People wanted news so here's some for you,

La Placa Rifa,
W. R. Logan.

OK, what have we got coming up... Prog 1280 is the 25th Anniversary prog, with a 12-page Dredd story by John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra called 'Leaving Rowdy', in which Dredd hands over his apartment in Rowdy Yates Block to Rico. Also in the prog is a 10-page Tharg story set at the Ministry of Sound birthday bash, with each page done by a different writer and artist - expect to see Grant Morrison and Steve Yeowell, Garth Ennis and Dave Gibbons, Pat Mills and Kevin O'Neill, Alan Grant and John Higgins, plus many more. Then there's the start of Nikolai Dante: The Romanov Job by Robbie Morrison and Simon Fraser.

After 1280 we have such Thrills as the return of Dredd obsessive Bella Bagley in 'Love Story III: The End of the Affair' by John Wagner and Ian Gibson, new story Atavar by Dan Abnett and Richard Elson, more Sinister Dexter (knew that would please you :-)), the start of major Dredd series 'Sin City' in Prog 1289 by John Wagner and Kev Walker, the premiere of psychic epic '13' by Mike Carey and Andy Clarke, Judge Death gets his seriously scary own series, courtesy of John Wagner and Frazer Irving, and the return of Tor Cyan by John Tomlinson and Jock.

That takes us up to Summer, which I'll leave you with just one word: 'Retro'...

Best,
Matt.

I think you've kind of missed the point about how people want news and how its presented to them.

However it would be churlish of me (I used to be paulvonchurlish) not to say thanks for the info.  I shall now use it to build a mausoleum for my squid men.

Squid Men (7th Feb 2002 4pm to 7th Feb 2002 4.03pm)  They shall be remembered.

Sounds pretty good to me.

I'd also like to go into print to declare my support for Sinister Dexter. I think it's great, cheesy sometimes, but that's also why it's great. 2 of the best characters (alongside Dante) that have arrived in the last few years. Eek, sorry, 6 years!!
NEGOTIATION'S OVER!

>I think you've kind of missed the point about how people want news and how it's presented to them.

Didn't think I missed the point, and fully understood what you meant, but news isn't that hard to get.
If you want the editorial droids to take action about your ideas, and the news idea is a good one, then its pointless just to post them here and always expect things to go from there. If you think it would be a good idea for cyber-matt or Alan to post news about forthcoming stories then e-mail them and suggest it.

>However it would be churlish of me (I used to be paulvonchurlish) not to say thanks for the info.  I shall now use it to build a mausoleum for my squid men.

No thanks necessary I'm more than happy to do my bit to see that all squid men are exterminated and their evil wiped from our planet.

Basically if you have an idea, don't post it here to discuss it, just send it to the editorial staff who reall have nothing better to do.

Honestly Logan I think they'd get pretty pissed of quickly.  At least here views can get discussed and bashed about a bit first.  Even if it just means people turn up and pour cold water on them.  I just think a feature based way of presenting news would be better and of interest to more readers than an e-mail from the editor.

If the editor wants every fan here mailing him to see what is happening, great!  You know how much I like to talk.

As for the squid men they were a short lived creation.  perhaps... but no.  they are gone forever.
