Hi,

I know that quite a few of the people on this board have access to image libraries or are better at searching for images than I.

So I thought I'd ask for help.  I desparately need a copy of either Piranesi's "Carcere V" or "Carcere VIII", in electronic format, on about an A4 scale.  Searching the web, I can't find anything above 1/8th of a page, which when stretched out doesn't look good.  I'll post the 2 pictures in following posts.

If possible, I need to get hold of the images already pasted into a Word file, but just the basic images would be great anyway.  Can anyone help?

It's not for me - my wife is completing her PhD (we've just spent a fun week going over all 100,000 words of it checking grammer, typos, references, logic....)  At one point in it she's analysing De Quincey's opium addict narratives.  Towards the end, De Quincey was hallucinating that he was caught up in a Piranesian dungeon - hence the need for a nice illustrative picture!

Over the next couple of days I have to search out a particular Robert Crumb image, a medieval transi and something else I've forgotten right now.

I know that someone will be wondering - the subject of the PhD is "Disintegration as a Structural Trope in the works of William S Burroughs, Kathy Acker and Poppy Z Brite".
