Obscure(?) Old comic strip

The other day I remembered one of my favourite comic stories, it was a single strip that ran in 2000AD.  I have absolutely no recollection of whether it was a Future Shock or a one-off - I can't remember the writer, the artist, or even the title.
All I can remember is the story.

An angel travels to a hill-top in search of an angel banished to Earth in order to invite him back into Heaven - there he finds that the angel has passed time on Earth by exploring everything it has to offer, and is currently in the midst of having his skin peeled off.  The comic ends with the quite mad fallen angel's words "Why would I go back to Heaven when I've found paradise right here?"

Can anybody point me to the name of the strip, or even better, the issue it appears in?  I'd really love it for my collection, but my friend who had it has long since moved overseas and I have no idea what happened to his 2000AD collection...

Thanks

ooo yeah that was messed up, in the 90's ? late ?
artist weston ? maybe? it wasnt a ...wotsit, the baldy bloke & top hat fella that i didnt like? comeon memory men you know the one...

Now from Bou's description it sounds like 'Killing Time'. I have to say that from the description it sounded like something Chris Weston would be assigned.

I loved that story!

It was definitely  one-off.  Sadly my collection doesn't go back nearly that far.

Artist was Kevin Cullen - same guy who created Creep & did a very good dark Hershey undercover story with Hershey playing a prostitute(?)

The torturer was ex-VietCong or something and looked on the angel as a form of art?  Also, there was some sort of SE Asian flavour to the whole thing?

Whatever happened to Kevin Cullen?  His B&W art rocked!

I think the story you're after was one of the first Terror Tales bout PROG 895 it was called Milk and Honey and beleive it or not written by Mark Millar, Art by Kevin Cullen... have to check my back issues tonight  to be sure though. Definatly remember the strip, quite nasty..

Yes to the Vietcong and 'Milk and Honey'!
Excellent, thank you so very much.

And no, not a conscious fan of Dr Who unfortunately.

I remember an old future shock which was about a man who awakes one day to find he's an android with implanted memories.

Before he gets turned off he is implanted with more memories to give him a 'full' life.

Any idea which issue that one was?

And what about an eXtreme edition devoted to the best future shocks?
