Just wondering when was the last time we saw either the Black Museum or the Hall of Heroes in 2000ad or the Meg?

Are they still around or where they detroyed during Judgement Day/Inferno/Doomsday?(whatever Nero Narcos' robot skirmish was called)

Wasn't the Hall of Heroes destroyed by fire in the Apocalypse War, as Dredd escaped the Grand Hall?

Thread Zero

Dredd burned the Hall of Heroes down along with the rest of the Grand Hall during the Apocalypse War - however, the Black Museum first appears during the first Anderson vs. Death story - among other things, it has Chief Judge Cal's Brain and a stuffed Klegg among the exhibits.  It was last mentioned (but doesn't actually appear) during the Dredd Zombie on Luna-1 story. As far as I can remember.

I naturally assumed the Judges would have rebuilt the Hall of Heroes.

Where these exhibitions next to each other in the Grand Hall of Justice?

'I naturally assumed the Judges would have rebuilt the Hall of Heroes.'

Probably - although they would have lost all the old exhibits such as Fargo's Sepulture and all the old uniforms.

'Where these exhibitions next to each other in the Grand Hall of Justice?'

Don't know.  Don't see why not - it makes sense to have them together as they're both tourist attractions (Sturmey is in charge of organising tours in 'Judge Death Lives!') and would keep visiting citizens in one place.

Oddboy

"Darkside" - progs 1017-1028 - by John Smith featured the Dredd Zombie that Dredd & Anderson captured in 2124 during "City Of The Damned". The 'dead' zombie was kept in the Black Museum, but was stolen by antique dealers & shipped to Luna-1 with many other Black Museum artefacts.

For no explained reason, the Dredd zombie came back to life, and was eventually disposed of by some jolly good punches from living Dredd.

i liked that story although i still scratch my head as to how the thing came alive...

on a related note wasn't this story supposed to be in the meg but it was shunted to tooth due to the necropolis reprinting?

Didn't it become inactive when it got dragged back in time, and then it reactivated when it came around to 2124 again?

Yeah, I think Steve's right, except the year was 2020.

Oddboy

Actually you're both wrong and me earlier as well - it was 2120.

And I suppose it's possible that young 'The Mutant' had taken over Dredd again, although infant 'The Mutant' was killed after the Proteus mission, so that neither young 'The Mutant' nor 'The Mutant' could have existed.
This didn't explain how come the Dredd Zombie was still in existance, or how come Dredd has bionic peepers, but they said that in the strip.

I think that "it's just a zombie, and they can do that if they want" is the best angle to take.

The Monarch

yeah...

I liked the paradox ending to City of the Damned.

It was good fun, and the sort of thing you don't usually get in comics.

Everyone feels a desperate need to tie up all loose ends, and they forget that sometimes it's a clever move just to leave them hanging loose.

Woolly

Dead mean with supernatural power who dimension hop,
One armed maniac with a dial on his head to change his anger levels,
Dredd getting a nice, big red eagle 'tatooed' on him by the memory of a mutant that he's killed about 3 times already,

somehow the idea of the Dredd zombie getting up and walking again doesnt alarm me......!
