you can find a very detailed submissions secint within this very site. i have posted the link below.

this page was written by ANDY DIGGLE formerly known to us as tharg the mighty just after rebellion took the reigns.
you may be hard pressed to find a better resource for submissions.
also there are some chaps here who if they note this thread wil post you the Yahoo sites that maybe able to steer you in the correct direction of comics generally.

Try getting Dredd right in B&W before trying colour.

My only criticism is that Dredd looks a bit feminine. The pouty lips and the chin don't look stern enough. Nice cheek bone structure though! Keep up the hard work though as I think the sample you've posted so far look very promising.

Woolly

I can only see the second pic on this thread for some reason, but it nice! Very nice!!

Keep it up, dude!

Woolly (who promises to get something done and posted on the site, and stop just talking about it!!)

Krustabi

Chin isn't square enough. Nice to see someone not ripping off the generic Bolland Dredd though. Can we see on of him from the front though

Valhalla

Hiya,

I really like the style you are using. However this judge looks too generic. He looks to young and innocent(unscathed ) to be Dredd.

brilliant stuff darko, lovely style. i agree with the boys about craggy chin lack of. & youre going to have to show that you can do movement and storytelling as well as lush one off pictures. stick with it, good luck, & stick around here for bouncing ideas around.

and if you'd like to get your stuff up on the fan art section of this site, email it to binaries@2000adonline.com
I think there are guidelines somewhere as to what size the jpegs/ whatever should be, I'm sure Wake will tell you if you ask him nicely.

I'd make the same comments about Dredd's chin and lips, but you've got some good stuff going on there, keep at it and good luck.

Adrian Bamforth

Nice painting, I like the second one especially though painting strips can be a time-consuming business so not always an efficient way of making a living.

If you're looking for this kind of advice and feedback by the way why not join us on the Artdroids group?

As a normal punter I would say lovely art but yes the chin and lips look wrong for not just Dredd but in general.
2nd ones V good.

The one other (ever so slight) criticism I'd make is that the 2 pics you've shown us are perhaps a bit similar in pose to show us the full extent of your abilities.  Go on, show us another!
