Booted out!

Any nice folk out there? sob,sob

I got my PC version of Dredd vs Death and it seems to load okay but when I click the icon the PC closes down and the re-boots, aggggh!

This happened with the Demo but i assumed it was just a cruddy demo... Is it a virus? or just stupidity and general Luddite-ness?

Anyone? sob...

Hmm, nasty. Recent virii :) have been known to cause shutdowns (Broadband Heaven quickly turned to hell when I got 2 in the first minute online) but it sounds more like some conflict thing with the registry or something exotic like that. Heard someone else say they had to uninstall the demo before it would work. Worth trying uninstalling both and starting again though. That would be my professional opinion anyway. Otherwise check you've got the latest drivers for your graphics card maybe.

Mine installed fine, just awaiting bits to speed it up a bit.

I witnessed similar bizarre behaviour when I tried to run the demo before I got my new graphics card. Is your system up to spec?

Whats your system spec?
Do you have anything else running in the background (antivirus etc.)?
When you installed it did you have anything else running?

I'll check the above out tonight ay home,
I assumed the Graphic card etc was okay as Age of Kings and Age of Mythology run fine.

I tried unistalling and reinstalling, no luck!

I'll work thro the other suggestions wwhen I get home tonight, all/ any ideas welcome...

What operating system do you have and is there something like an event log (look at the man who works with NT too much), as an error message will probably appear there.......
