Message board archives

I've split the table containing messages from this board into two - 2001/2002 and 2003/2004

The message index page now only counts messages posted since 1st Jan, 2003 and the thread page doesn't display the earlier messages. However, you can access some of the earlier ones by clicking on their titles.

I'll make some modifications to the search function too, if this seems to make the difference to the site stability.

The message board is now pretty darn speedy for me Wake, it seems to have done the trick.

Be interesting to see what happens come 13:00, even if this doesn't solve the crash problems, I think you should keep it like this, as the messageboards, and most recent threads, load extremely quickly. Speed=good.

Just as a second thought, would it be worthwhile archiving some of the older POLLS in a similar way?
