I've just seen some footage on telly from "Sniper Elite", one of Rebellions current projects, a very nice looking WWII game with a very, very nice representation of 1940s...  

Am I just be that I'm being thick and everyone knows about this already? And whens it out?

It looks like its a break with being a pure FPS as well, with some alternating between first person and third-person views.

Looks interesting - I'd just be a bit worried that it's going to be at the wrong end of the craze for WWII-themed shooters...

some great WWII games avaible arnt there.
if it is at the wrong end of this current wave, it would be a pity for rebellion.
another not as big as hoped kind of thing.

 they had a comic franchise and didnt make the game they produced look like a comic comparison to 13 XIII here.

though from what i have seen this looks like a game worth having.
