considered a good innings by any i would say, also very good in chinese culuture.

such people dont get recognitoin they should.one of the unsung heros of popular comic culture.worked on some fine titles it seems.

he was also DC president for many years after he retired and hepled steer the company

if u look on the credits of any DC comic the last two decades his name is there in the small print at the bottom

Yeah- there was some Kieth Giffen joke (probably Ambush Bug) about travelling to the end of time and the guy was still alive and *still* running DC!

I remember hearing Julius Schwartz speak at a convention. He was very funny and self-deprivating about his acheivements and by the end i feel a legion of young fans, who hadn't really heard of this old man, realised they had heard a great man speak.

Very sad.

Yeah, I remember those Ambush Bug snippets of Julius wisdon. Two of his pearls that I live by are 'A Day without Doris is like a Kabuki without make-up' and 'The Wise man goes when he can, the foolish man when he has too'.
