I've just come back from Game, where I picked up no less than 5 PC games for a tenner! Nothing particulary fantastic or new, but they'll keep me off the streets.

I got Hidden & Dangerous Deluxe, Hulk, Messiah, Aliens Vs Predator 2, and, just to keep it vaguely on topic, Gunlok (it's by Rebellion, see?).

Good eh?

Any scouse boarders might want to get themselves down there, as there's quite a few interesting bits & bobs going cheap!

Does anyone have SOLDIER OF FORTUNE 2 online?

I got Tropico for a fiver, but no matter how Commie I run my country, giving farmworkers the same wage as lecturers and doctors and eschewing tourism, building up links with the USSR - I just can't get the Americans to invade.

My reluctance to build churches sometimes loses me elections.

I'm getting bored with it now.  Can anyone recommend another 'political' game?

Mr D

I haven't even got SOF2, but I wants it. If I ever get it, I'll be playing online.

Queen Firey-Bou

My son plays SOF2 online, but he's not allowed to play with you RC, cos youre not nice to the other boys & girls.

Definately recommend it, Dribbles - it's bloody excellent [though can be awkward without broadband].

Gimme your son's nickname good woman, and I'll teach him how to blow some heads off in style!

You could always give Republic a go...

I quite liked a game I played recently, about freedom fighting.... Hm... I forget the name, but you had to build up a resistance army gradually and take a city (new york I think) back from the soviets... Lot of fun and very detailed, strategic gameplay - was quite surprised, as I'd been expecting blasty fun and blasty fun alone!

The Enigmatic Dr X

Game about freedom fighting? Hmm. Could it be... Freedom Fighter ?

:-)

I really do like the sound of Revolution - but I need a better computer... :(

Wasn't Republic supposed to be a bit buggy, or has it been patched now?

The only PC game I'm into anymore is Civ3.

Generally Contrary

Civ 3 is great, but for some reason that doesn't run on my machine (it used to).  The addition of resources to fight over, and nationality for people, is great.  It was always a bit strange that you could conquer a few neighboring cities and they'd behave perfectly well.

I'm currently addicted to Total War: Medieval which is Civ but all the battles are real time! Just like that telly prog. Hope my machine will cope with Rome when it comes out.
