'Blimey, Bill's aiming a bit low on the cover isn't he? That's just not cricket you know!'

Ah, but what choise has he got?

That Volg must be 20 ft. tall!

Proudhuff

Cam Kennedy draws (heli)choppers, humpty tanks and fighting soldiers shock!!

can't imagine there will be a wagon with dodgy axles and soldiers with big boots as well?

I love Cams work lets hope he's done more than just the cover.

Is there a link between the Volgs and the Norts? check out the flag...

Huffy B-)

Cams Art on the light and darkness war was the best thing about it.

Even tho I have most of this strip, I'm still looking forward to getting this. To have it all lumped together is wonderful. My 10 year old doesn't know it yet but he's gonna read this little beauty from beginning to end! :)

Alan!

Jesus Blasco art!
(sound of hands being rubbed together in a gleeful, but also possibly menacing way)

Art

Weren't we supposed to be getting a reprint of that at some point?

thinky

fantastic cover by Cam... i shouldn't be looking forward to such an old 'thrill' (will the story stand up in one go?) but you know, i think i am

thinky

btw, from memory does early savage look like a slimmer porridge-era Ronnie Barker?

*coat already in hand*
you think this isn't me? that's so sweet...

That tagline is a classic, one for the Sun journo's surely....

Now, I feel, is a good time to once again mention what a truly great idea a Bill Savage FPS would be. It's got everything - well known locations up and down Britain in a state of ruin, dodgy euro-villains and a shotgun. What more can you ask for?

ukdane

Well, it's turned up!

Cover's great.
Obviously not ALL the Invasion stories are collected here. And I've just read Invasion, so I'm not going to reread them now. So I'm not sure of the quality of the ones they have choosen to reprint are any good.

I did flick to the art preview though. I hope they keep this b/w and don't colour it, 'cause it looks great. Roll on Prog 1387!
Cheers

Absolutly bloomin' brilliant! More! More!

What's Cam Kennedy doing these days, can we not get him back drawing Dredd more often?

W. R. Logan

Reminded how great the art on the early invasion strips were.

Not really excited about the Mills & Adlard strip, but if they dropped king of the rewrites and gave it to GFD with Cam Kennedy now that would be something to get excited about.

Is Savage really a Pat Mills character when he obviously wrote so little of it? According to this site he wrote the first one. He was editor till Prog 16 so he probably played around with the early scripts but lets see if Savage becomes a woman hating, religious zealot with a preachy message to tell.
