this show had so much potential, but was let down by the fact that the main character was a total wanker.  I liked the look of the show, the darkness, the l.a.-ness, the first couple of seasons i liked, when angel wasn't pinning over the past or buffy...

as i remember wasn't there a contract condition when buffy moved from WB to UPN that said if WB canclled angel it would mover over there.  am not sure if that would still be the case as buffy is no longer with us.

Any one think that David Boraneaz could play Batman? We wondered if that was what he had in mind in season 2 when he got really dark and broody.

yeah i heard about the batman thing too, but if i see him playing another dark and broody character i'd just think of angel.  he's an alright actor, he should try spreading his wings a bit and do something different.

    Apparently it was only if Angel hadn't shown 100 episodes, and the 100th episode was the other week...

    Oh well, at least this will cut my TV watching down to, ooh - 0 hours a week ;)

I don't think he'd make a good Batman... maybe Year One, otherwise he just looks too young and pretty-boy ish.

With the Crow thing, he's in the new movie, but I don't know if it's as The Crow himself... he orchestrates the murder of two people 'on the way to becoming an immortal demon'... and one of them is female. Isn't there meant to be a female crow in the new one? I'd guess one or both of them have to stop him being a demon.

Doesn't matter anyway, it'll suck! Only the first one was actually good... The third was almost passable.

You know, Smallville is one of those shows that I thought 'this will suck', read about and thought 'sounds like this sucks' then accidentally watched the first episode and got totally and utterly hooked!! No idea why, I find it really gripping!

I'll go back to my corner now...

ANGEL, BUFFY, SMALLVILLE... ugh.

I've been reaquainted with THE TWILIGHT ZONE thanks to the double-bill on the Sci-Fi Channel every weekday - brilliant!

The Richard Matheson episodes are the best (that one where the woman is terrorised by mini-"aliens" is great fun), and even some of the Rod Serling ones are highly watchable.

They did a new series or two a few years ago and they were not a patch on the 60's ones, though I remember one or two surprisingly weren't bad.

Though I prefered THE OUTER LIMITS (also re-vamped a few years ago, but little to appeal there) as a kid, and look forward to their run on Sci-Fi hopefully next.
