Better that than cold drizzle, sport.

I wish I hadn't come back.

So does whoops gotta go

Capt.Zeep

Krestel, It's been between -4 and 0 degrees centigrade here (scot. borders) this week, and I've spent all week up to my waist in muddy water stirring up sludge from the bottom of a pond (busy cleaning the crap out of a HUGE pond).
Oh joy!

Swap you for a week?

big differences, still one world...'we are living in different worlds' - brothers in arms, dire straits

Steamboy

always the way Zeep, tell you what U send me some snow/slurry and I'll box up some sunshine for ya. I think I'd stop functioning in -4 weather...

Krestel you have a deal, box up some Antipodean sunshine post-haste and I'll put some dripping, freezing stinking anaerobic pond sludge in a jiffy bag and send it over.

You could dip your toes in it and imagine me wading through three feet of the stuff!

Valhalla

Good thing about the cold is you can dress accordingly.

Unfortunately when it hits 40 + there is only so much you can take off before you're charged with offensive behaviour (or you burn  your tenderloins)

There was a guy who called himself 'The Naked Rambler' who was trying to walk from Land's End to John O'Groats (in other words, one end of the country to another) in the nude.

In the middle of winter.

A few years ago, I very briefly worked in St. Petersburg.  In November, the temperature reached -28, not including the wind chill factor.

It's no wonder they all wear big hats...

Just out of interest, Krestel - have you ever seen snow?

Steamboy

nope, though I do hear the stuff we get over east is quite nice, -28 I thought it only got that cold in freezers. Funny weather today thunderstorms all night(looked awsome) raining thismorning only 20 degrees today, ha but the rest of the countries baking at the mo...

Krestel just move to Tasmania
I often wonder if you don`t bake away to nothingness, having driven through Kalgoorlie* once
Here it`s so cold we have to use our kerosene heater

The Enigmatic Dr X

Damn, I thought this was a "Best unintentional comedy moment in a film" thread.

I still chuckle at the bit in Robocop when the baddie bloke melts. Maybe it's me, or maybe it's the dodgy make-up.
Lock up your spoons!

Jared Katooie

Whats really funny is when the van hits him and he explodes...

Eh... yeah... weather... it's terrible stuff alright!

Richmond Clements

And then he got his arm cut off in ER. No luck that guy.

Tanky

I got my itinerary for my trip today. And a txt from me bud in Melbourne: 40c today, pack ya sunblock!  Yeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!
