Buddy

Arn't bunkers supposed to be underground???

That looks more like a hut.

Art

Well, yeah, I did think that what with the nuclear blasts and the terrorist 747s and all putting it underground might be safer, but apparently not...

paulvonscott

Isn't painting it in the stars and stripes just begging for it?

The Amstor Computer

PVS - nah. Wrapping it in Old Glory will just protect it even more ;-)

Quirkafleeg

They are a job lot of props from Star Trek right, that someone's just painted.

From the FAQ:

"Aren't bunkers supposed to be underground?

Yes, traditionally the word bunker has been synonymous with underground, humidity, insects and bad odors, but just like in aviation, medicine and other industries, due to advances in science, design, new materials and technology we have also been able to redefine the meaning of the word. The Bunker of the future is no longer stationary, ?. it is completely mobile!!! ?U.S. Bunkers has developed and patented a way of making these structures completely monolithic, which is virtually indestructible and an environment of comfort and protection. The greatest advantage is that they are now portable, thus being able to serve different functions at different times and in different places. These bunkers can now be placed in flood prone areas, an advantage that was impossible until now."

"With our new technology atomic blasts just kinda whoosh round it... also totally protective against chemicals (please shut the door)"

Actually I imagine it would be very frecking mobile if a sizable bomb went off near it...

paulvonscott

If you had kids, it would be a smashing playhouse.  If it had windows.

I've got this vision of the Terrorists(tm) setting off smokebombs to get the suburban bunker-owners the scamper inside, and then coming round and rolling them all into their swimming pools...

So why not just make houses and other building in this 'virtually indestructible' way?
Hey-presto! A vertually indestructible city!

"Greetings, Earthmen. We believe you have intergalactic WMD. Give them up or face the consequences. You have ten bloopnargs to comply."
