I know that Johnathon Ross and Paul Gambocini are comic fans, but does anyone know any others and are there any specific celebrity 2000ad fans?

Woolly

Well, theres Simon Pegg, Bob Monkhouse (not sure wether he read 2000ad though)

Erm...

Bob Monkhouse was; really??  That surpised me.  Simon Pegg I should have remembered!

Woolly

There was a thread just after he died that mentions a bit more about Bob and comics.

Have a rummage round, Im sure you'll find it!

Off the top of me head, also ... Lemmy, Madness and Hank Wangford are confirmed homegrown squaxx. Kirk Brandon out of Spear Of Destiny may have posted on this very board once IIRC. There's bound to be few more 80's music types.

On the Hollywood side Nicolas Cage is a superhero nut sitting on a small fortune in rare comics.

Don't suppose Stallone counts.

Thread Zero

He had quite a large collection of original Eagle artwork on his walls during an old interview in one of the tribute shows they put on.

M.Night Shymalion as well, I think.

Kevin Smith and Ben Afleck.

Yon blokey who played Hyde in L.X.G. seems to know what he's talking about when it comes to Alan Moore, but perhaps reading League and From Hell in preperation for roles in both movies did that.

Mark Hamill.

With regard to the bloke in LXG (He was in Lock, stock as well). In the Metro this week or last, he was interviewed about LXG and said that he wouldn't mind having a go at V (for Vendetta). I assume he must have a passing knowledge of the medium.

Ian Wright from Lonely Planet, when crossing a South American border was asked to empty his bags at a checkpoint, and laying on the top where a couple of issues of (IIRC) 2000ad Monthly (or the like).

Shaquill O'Neill is a big time Superman fan. He has a tattoo, his steering wheel has the 's' on it, his headboard has a 's' symbol and lots more. He even played Steel.
