Jerry Seinfeld.

He's a Superman nut.  Various Superman items decotrating the set of his apartment in Seinfeld, and Superman references in at least a couple of episodes.

VampiraJen

some of the cast of x-men seem to have taking a real liking to the comic...

Adrian Bamforth

Michale Palin was spotted wearing a Dan Dare T-Shirt in Around The World...and Terry Jones I think paid tribute to the strip on a documentary. Prince Charles has a subscription to The Eagle..though I reckon most boys of that generation were Eagle readers.

Rio De Fideldo

Phil Oakey out of the Human League wore a Dark Judges T Shirt in the video to Together in Electric Dreams.

Jared Katooie

"He even played Steel."

Thank you so much for reminding of that film. I watched the whole thing with my jaw hanging down it was so bad. The ending where he has "five seconds" to dispose of a grenade must stand in history as one of the all time terrible movie moments.

Doesn't Johnatan Woss wead comics?

Devons Daddy

speilberg is a big comic reader,.

he was the one that gave tom hanks the road to perdition graphic novel and suggested he may want to look into such literature for movies.

also ben afleck is a sad comic fan boy. he went looking for the role as Dare Devil upon hearing it was in pre production stage.
I AM VERY BUSY!

Yeah, Rossy and Gambo co-owned a comic shop at one time in Soho.

Re Nicholas Cage.

Amusingly, his short-lived marriage to Lisa Marie Presley saw him sell his collection for a ridiculous sum.

ISTR it was around $70,000.

Then they broke up.

That bitch!

- Trout, probably making unfair assumptions

Julian Cope named his group "The Teardrop Explodes" from a panel in a Silver Surfer comic...

Trout

He did indeed.

According to his autobiography, Cope did indeed like the Silver Surfer.

But the main reason for the name was a competition among pretentious Liverpool punks to call their proto-bands by bizarre names.

Head On/Repossessed is indeed a most entertaining read, he's got quite a good site too, though I haven't been there in a while...

Head On is probably my favourite Biography, closely followed by Mohammed Ali.
