Well Tarentino doesnt comment about comics over the comic shop scene in True Romance... he talks about how Clarence is basically him. It's in there somewhere, I'm sure,  but too busy with other things to go through the whole film again... I think he says he's not a fan of comics in general but was obsessed with one or two characters as he grew up... Srg Rock springs to mind?

Jo Callis, who was the writer (and member) of the Human League's I am The Law song.

He was also in the Rezillos and possibly TV21.

The Rezillos early gig posters were created as front pages of american comic books ( one of which I still have sign by Gale Warning no less!)

...but the "Bizarro" episode of SEALAB 2021 is THE most annoying programme ever created, although that may well be the point.

Anthrax actually released "I Am The Law" as a single and guitarist Scott Ian drew the cover for it - a nice pic of Dredd. I had the picture disc of it and like a dick, sold it for buttons.
And Skid Row have a new album out if anyone's interested although it's meant to be crap and Bach isn't on it.

For some reason, possibly boredom, I was thinking about this thread earlier.

Clive Barker is another.

Nobody's mentioned Madness yet - they even created the Zarjaz record label!

The introduction to the first Justice League of America Archive is by Paul Gambochini and he comments on how he's going to buy a spare one and carry it around with him in case he bumps into his fellow comics fan Salman Rushdie, upon which event he'll pass on the book.

Nobody's mentioned Madness yet

*cough*

DavidXBrunt

That's what he said, the nobody mentioned Madness.

Bolt-01

Gambo once mentioned 'Elektra assassin on Radio 1 in the late '80's.

Gambo was also a big letterpage writer to DC and they named the superhero uniform supplier shop after him IIRC.
Maybe Floyd will eventualy get a similar honour.

Dave Wyndorf from Monster Magnet is a big comic fan. Hence the song "Ego, The Living Planet" and Modok getting a mention in one song. I seem to recall Monster Magnet actuall appeared on-stage in an issue of Spider-Man some years back...
Dan Dare will return for a new adventure soon, Earthlets!
